I HAVE A 2003 TOYOTA CORROLLA. MY REMOTE STARTER WON'T START. MY DOORS DO LOCK AND UNLOCK. BUT CAN'T START THE CAR WITH THE REMOTE. DO I NEED TO RESET IT OR THE WIRING NEED FIXING?
What I would say is that the circuit connecting the transponder to the ignition relay has shorted or even been fried. If you want to use your remote start again, you will need to replace the circuit . This is possible, but if you have soldered the wires from, what I assume is an aftermarket transponder, or even equipped from factory, this is not possible. If it uses a harness adapter this is possible, but will cost a lot of time and money.
My advice is to turn it on using the push start option instead.

look under the dash for a small silver toggle switch....this is a disable switch for the remote start portion of the system..you may have kicked it / bumped it with your foot, causing the remote start portion to be deactivated. Just flip the switch the opposite way and try again..
Also, there may have been a pin style switch installed under the hood...Check to see if it is bent or broken, if it is, simply disconnect it and insulate the wire that was going to it.
This wire is used as a safety to keep the vehicle from remote starting while the hood is up..to keep people from being injured if the remote start is activated while the engine is being worked on.
Have whatever shop installed the system replace your pinswitch if that is the problem.

find the program button and turn on ignition without starting the engine and press and hold the button till it goes steady
if it has a swith turn on and flip the switch till it goes on solid 1 or 2 x

have you checked the 3 pin door lock plug at the alarm? it may be loose or unplugged totally.

Maybe the installer did not hook up the remote starter unit to disarm the factory security system upon entry or remote-starting. Ask the installer to double check that part of the install as it would cause the factory security to trigger even though you unlocked the vehicle with the remote start unit remote.

Hi Shawntel Riddle, I want to help you with your problem, but I need to know if it was an aftermarket addition or if it came equipped with the car from the dealer.
it came equipped with the car when i bought it on the used dealership.
