Bose CineMate 1 SR - green status light is continuously blinking and nothing I do to rectify it works, what can I do?

If the green status light on your Bose CineMate 1 SR system is continuously blinking and you have already checked the manual for troubleshooting steps, there are a few additional actions you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Power cycle the system: Disconnect the power cord from both the soundbar and the power outlet. Wait for about 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord and turn on the system. This simple reset can sometimes resolve minor software glitches.
2. Check the connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected to their respective ports. Verify that the audio cables are properly connected between the soundbar and the TV or audio source. If any cables appear damaged or worn out, consider replacing them.
3. Reset the system: Perform a factory reset on the Bose CineMate 1 SR to restore it to its default settings. To do this, locate the control console (the main unit with the green light) and unplug its power cord from the power outlet. While unplugged, press and hold the control console's power button for at least 10 seconds. Afterward, release the power button and reconnect the power cord. The system should reboot, and you can check if the blinking light issue has been resolved.
4. Firmware update: Visit the Bose website and check if there are any available firmware updates for your CineMate 1 SR system. If updates are available, follow the instructions provided by Bose to install the latest firmware. Firmware updates can sometimes fix software bugs and improve the system's performance.
5. Contact Bose support: If none of the above steps resolves the issue, it is recommended to reach out to Bose customer support for further assistance. They have access to specialized troubleshooting and can provide specific guidance based on your situation.
Remember to have your system's serial number and any relevant details ready when contacting Bose support, as this will help expedite the troubleshooting process.

Two of my smoke alarms went off (no fire/smoke in or near house), one has a green light blinking and one has a solid green light, which need a new battery/reset?

The constant green LED means the alarm has AC power.
A flashing green light every 2 seconds without an audible alert means the unit recently sounded ( was the one activated ) and is now in latching mode to let you know that it was the unit that detected the problem. To clear the latching mode hold down the test button for 5 seconds.
Red LED flashing once per minute means that the back-up battery is connected and functioning.
Red light flashing constantly during alarm means that it is the unit that initiated the alarm siren.

My Electrolux upright worked fine

Are you using the proper bag? There's a kill/reset switch that needs to be pushed down by the rim of the bag before the unit will run.
