Do a injector leak down test to rule out leaky injectors.

Leaky injector will drip excess fuel into the intake on dead stop.

Back fire will damage intake manifold gasket and waste fuel.

2002 suburban 2500 hesitation backfires intermintly

Check for error codes (DTCs) before going any further. Sounds like a fuel problem (fuel pump, injectors, etc.) which may have been affected by bad gas. Try a good fuel additive (cleaner) as well.

Car stalls after warm up, wont idle, surges from idle to highway speeds

Without knowing what car it is ...make. model and year this is a very vague question. A quick and dirty educated guess sounds like your timing has jumped ... if it's a timing belt, open the cover and check the timing marks ... or if it runs put on a timing light and look where the timing is ... sounds like it's firing after top dead center.

5.3 chevy hesitates when cold runs fine after warming up

what is the fuel pressure reading, sounds like low fuel pressure, you should have 60 PSI at idle and more when you throttle the engine up about 65 PSI, it should NEVER go down.

Car backfires hesitates when depressing gas pedal

Check the vacum lines going to the distributor and transmission. If they are leaking it could be your problem.
