Re: optimal settings for xbox360 for the LG 42LA660V
I doubt its input lag as this is the first I've heard of it your probably facing a rendering problem so you've either got too much going on your 360 or it is getting too hot which is causing your machine to run slow and lag

Do you use Wi-Fi or an ethernet cable? If you are experiencing severe lag, it could be a problem with your actual internet connection and not necessarily your XBox 360.
I would purchase an ethernet cable (they run about $10 over here in the states) and try that out before anything else
Depending on your model, this is caused by visual post-processing which may introduce lag. Many LCD diplays have a "game mode" setting make sure this is on when playing your Xbox 360 through this LCD TV. Also, depending on your model of TV, there are motion enhancers (usually proprietary e.g. LG calls its TruMotion) which can also introduce lag; these should be turned off while playing. Another step that should be followed, is to turning off any set video setting in the Xbox's configuration (i.e. turning off any set video output such as 480p, 720p, 1080i, etc.) and setting it to "Optimal Resolution". This should allow for native video output instead of possibly upscaling which would in turn induce lag.
This should correct you lag issue for most common LCD TV's.

Plug the USB in the front of the xbox360 the USB plugs are shielded in the front that fix your problem it fixed my problem my Dlink wireless router makes it go nuts with that ear piecing popping sound when i plug the usb anywhere else.
Many routers need to be optimized for xbox connections or you will have serious latency problems. You can find out how to do this by going to the manufacturer of your routers homepage and search support for "xbox."
In all honesty I think that if you are not having problems with your internet connection up until that point it is most likely due to the lack of hard drive. You can pick one up at any gaming or major consumer electronic store. I highly recommend this purchase as a long term investment on the system.
Prior to any other purchases you can run a quick diagnostic on your system to ensure that it is nothing else.
On your dashboard go to the System Click on Network Settings. Click Test Xbox Live Connection.
This will check out your set up to see if your configurations on your network are optimal to access Live This is what it should look like:
After the tests, click oh more info to see which tests failed. Hopefully it will return no failures, but if it does you can click on more info which will give you some ways to fix it. Click edit settings to change your IP, DNS settings, and a few other things.
