SOURCE: samsung slimfit keeps turning off

When the TV is on, how about the back light(you can check that on your TV's back side)

If the back light on -- need to replace Main Board.
no back light -- need to replace Power Board

your picture tubes is going bad. i've had 5 yes 5 of these tv's replaced by samsung/bestbuy. i've kept buying the PSP (product Service plan) now my most recent tv is doing the same. samsung no longer makes the picture tube for this model. i've already called them. it was a nice tv. i've gotten about 6 months out of each model. I'm moving on the LCD, nice rca 32 inch HDtv model at walmart for less than 500.00.
