check "network connections",if youve got the correct drivers for your wireless, you should see the icon, right click it and pick "enable"
you could also right click the icon by your clock to repair, disable.(little tv-looking pikt)
also, you can drag the connection icon from "network connections"to your desktop,it will be a shortcut which will enable you to "double-click"to enable!!

SOURCE: Wireless Connection Problem

The wireless card didn't get a IP address from the router when it booted up.
Right click on the wireless icon and then click on Repair.
This will force the wireless card to get a new IP address from the wireless router.

Best and by far easiest method would be to make use of "System Restore". Simply restore your computer to an earlier time - you want to restore the system to a time as close to the current date as possible but at the same time - restore it to a time/date that to your recollection, would be before this problem on your desktop occurred.

Not sure if you are familiar with system restore so here's the click path to get you there:

...from your desktop and with all programs closed:

1) click on <start>
2) point mouse to < All Programs>, <accessories>, <system tools>
3) when mouse is pointed at <system tools>, navigate mouse down
the list to where you see <system restore> and click on it.

from there, just follow the on-screen instructions and pick your restore point by the calendar that will appear.

Should solve your problem as there is a key stored in the windows registry which may be very difficult to decode otherwise.

SOURCE: IS MY PC WIRELESS ENABLED?

You can check your pc if its wireless enabled if you have a wireless adapter installed on your system with the necessary drivers, if you dont have the device, then you have to purchase a wireless adapter from the computer shop and install its device driver in order for it to work. If you have a hardware and have the driver installed, you go to control panel and network connections if you have windows xp, you should configure it to get ip from your router in order for you to get connected to your wireless router, and also you make sure that wireless is enabled on your router when you configure it.
