SOURCE: Cannot change the screen orientation on my Gateway M280 tablet PC

Ok so I had the same problem on my tablet cx2000. Did you download any of the service packs from xp? If so that is what is causing the problem. Your computer will work fine without it so you just need to de-install it. Go to your add and remove programs and delete the service pack. Once your computer reboots then it will be fine!

From a computer that has internet access, download the appropriate ethernet driver for your network card from the link above. As for the recovery disk, you'll have to contact Gateway for a replacement disk.

Require Gateway CX210X assemlby instructions

Sorry to be so late in providing a solution, I just saw this problem.
Perhaps it will help someone in the future;

The Gateway Convertible Notebook CX210X, is part of the Gateway Convertible Notebook CX200 series.

This is a link to a Service Manual, (Disassembly/assembly manual also), for the Gateway Convertible Notebook CX200 series,

http://www.tim.id.au/blog/tims-laptop-service-manuals/#toc-gateway

Go down to the subheading - Gateway Convertible Notebook CX200, and click on the blue CX200.

This is a PDF file. After you click on the file name (blue CX200) it may take up to 30 seconds, before the first page comes up.

Hdd password block on Gateway M 275 convertible tablet

There is a battery inside that will dump the password. It may be soldered to the motherboard. A computer repair shop can do the job in about 10 minutes. While you're at it, just replace the battery. It only adds a couple dollars to the cost.

Laptop won't boot after new hdd and memory upgrade

Re-seat the memory and the HDD connector. If no change try the mem modules one by one. If no change try it without the HDD connected to see if there is a problem with the new HDD.
