I have a casio exilim ex-z60. I put the battery in the cradle to charge and the red light just flashes and the battery wont charge!! Any advice?? I have the same problem, dont have the manual anymore so I was wondering if anyone knows what that means when the red light flashes on the charger? do I need a new battery?
Hi I am Vortah The red light is usually an indicator that the battery is charged however in this instance as you are saying it isn't the battery has possibly gone short and you will need to replace the batteries . They have a type of internal memory and only charge a certain amount of times before they no longer accept charge and merely overheat during charging .. But I have to say it may be possible the charger is faulty as if the internal rectifier that charges the battery has gone short that may also bring the red light on in some chargers .. so try the battery or as I would do take it along to your nearest dealers and get them to check it . it may save you money in the long run you could be buying a battery you still cant use when you actually need a charger .. Hope this helps regards Vortash
