Will not power up, no lights or sound

What model number is this machine, and do you see any of the lights come on when you press the power button?

this commonly occour when there are any complaints with the RAM module. try replacing them or unplug it and again reinsert it som times this can also be caused due o loose contact

Are there any other lights on or any other activity, or does it just die? If it only pops up with the hard drive light briefly then dies, your laptop might just be dying because the battery isn't holding a charge.

i have the same problem / maybee its a lcd malfunction

ALL depends on what part of your screen went...
What Symptoms did you see before the screen went ... if any..... (like Lines, Colors, Blank screen with light, black screen with No light, etc...)

Can You Plug An External Monitor In the Laptop To See If You Get External Video????

Do You Get A Backlight?? If Not, Do You Have A Display going but no light???
Or Is It Just Black Like it has no power to it... if the latter is true, you really need to connect it to an external video source to see if your video card / chip is shot..

my Everex StepNote VA4101M has no screen, it has a black screen. everything else is runing

did you check the brightness on the montior ?

if the only light on it is the wireless and the hard drive not runing then check the hard drive sounds like you have a problem with the hard drive
