No Manual--Don't know what top buttons do Minolta AF 10

I can't figure out what the buttons on top of my Minolta AF10-10X23 binoculars do. It seems to focus OK but I know the buttons are up there for something. Also does anyone have a manual for these??

I need the manual for my Minolta AF 8 binoculars as well because I can't figure out the top buttons on mine either. The AF 10 directions are probably close enough if someone has those and could send them to me. Thank you.

I have a Minolta compact af 8 8x23 6.6 binocular and have lost the battery cover. Can I purchase a replacement?

This will depend on how old the binoculars are. If they are reasonably new and Minolta are still selling that model, contact Minolta directly to see if they can supply you with one.
If it's an old set you might struggle to find a replacement cover unless you can find a complete, damaged/cheap set online that you can use for parts.

It was a gift and i have no idea how to use it(AF 10 compact)

Oh, neat! Autofocus binoculars, they run off the same lithium batteries used in cameras (just like an autofocus camera, without the film). Minolta got out of the business in 2006, so unfortunately unable to find a manual, but this eBay listing (for a slightly less powerful unit) covers the basics pretty well.

Minolta Binoculars Autofocus 8X22 6 5 RARE WORKING eBay

From the listing:
Holding down the large button continuously focuses on the subject. The two smaller buttons are to focus manually. Minimum focus distance is about 6 feet. Eyepiece spacing adjustment is with the sliding bar that has a locking lever on the bottom side. Individual diopter adjustment is with the two sliding bars on the bottom, to match each eye to the autofocus.

I cant find friction adjustment on Minolta 10 x 40 binoculars

Hi Ray:
I have Minolta binoculars with the same issue, I believe that I also have the same Minolta model: 10x40mm, roof mounted prisms, 5.6 degrees, waterproof (WR series) and model number j-b35.

Have you found any solution for the loose center hinge?

I have purchased a maxxum 450si

You have a film camera, you should have AF lenses. The AF lenses are larger round then older manual lense as you can have the older Minolta lens will fit the newer cameras, just not auto focus. If your AF is not working with AF lenses, I will assume you have power to the camera (batteries) These camera are not hard to use. To AF the camera, press the shutter down slightly (you can try without film) and it should focus on the center of your shot. Indoor and under low light, they will have trouble with these older AF bodies.

Binocular Loss Of Fluid

I never figured out how to fix it but I bought them at REI and they were able to find the receipt and get a warranty repair. One problem is Minolta no longer makes binoculars so a service center takes care of warranties. The Minolta site has details.

Minolta Maxxum 7000i

Is there a micro focus switch on the lens
On my lens if switch to Micro Mode the Auto focus is disabled, Also it is a stupid question but you are using a AF lens and not a xi series or manual focus lens.
