Re: problem with Canon 700QD the roll wont advance beyond...
Most likely the motor is wearing out and not powerful enough to wind more film. Not much you can do but replace the camera with something newer. Repair parts are most likely not available and the price would be way out of line of a replacement.

Rewind the film and try 'dry-firing' the camera, checking to see if the lens is working properly. May be a bad contact between the lens and the body, may just the the film has loaded slightly on the huh.
A few things to consider:
-Loading: Make sure you are not over loading the film before you start to shoot. I have sometimes turned the film advance too many times and end up cutting down on the amount of usable film.
-Are you loading the film in a dark area and careful to close up the back just after it has started to load to avoid exposing it?
-Shooting: Are you metering properly when shooting? Obviously underexposed images won't develop. You should consider a hand held meter.
-Shooting: Are you advancing the film more than it needs to be after you take your shot? Watch the film counter and feel for that click as it hits the next frame. I have advanced past the next shot many times by accident.
Hope that helps,
Matt
Did you actually mean shutter release or shutter advance? And to load the film, you need to pull the roll winder upwards. While you pull the winder upwards, it would have a tuck voice and then the back cover would open up. Make sure you have wound the entire roll before you open the back.

how old is it? if it is pretty new make sure your drain hose is not too far down the drain whole 6 inches is plenty get something and tie it up if you pull it out of the hole and you hear a gurgling sound that is your problem give it a shot let me know
If the dimensions of the picture your trying to print are not in a 2:3 ratio (same ratio as 4 x 6), it cannot fill the entire 4 x 6 area without distorting the image, i.e., you would have to "stretch" the dimension which has white margins right now to fill the paper. To print an undistorted borderless image, you will have to "crop" the picture so that the remaining dimensions are in a 2:3 ratio.
It sounds like your camera is having problems advancing your film, which could mean it is jammed inside the camera.
The other thing you should check is to see if the battery is weak & doesn't have enough power to advance the film (and thus the beeping).
If it is not the battery, then go in a darkroom (completely dark) and take out the film (if you're unable to rewind it inside the camera).
Look at the transport rollers (in the back for the camera) and make sure they're clean (sometimes film chips get jammed in there)
Let me know if this helps you.
Thanks.
Hm. Well, the way this camera works is actually very clever. When you first load a film into it, it winds the entire film out of the cassette and into the camer. As each shot is taken, the film is rewound back into the film cassette. The advantage of this is that if the back of the camera is accidentally opened, the shots which have already been taken are already safely back in the film cassette and will not be damaged by the light ingress. However, your camera is behaving strangely. I would check that the electrical contacts where the film cassette goes in are clean. You can clean them using a cotton bud moistened with methylated spirits.
