Only if you shave the power cord to fit in the same shape as the xbox plug-in. If you succeed then it will work. Keep calling local Gamestops or EB's stores for a used power cord for about 29.99-39.99 in used price.

Brand new BenQ EW2730V not turning on after 30-40 minutes of use with the XBOX 360/PS3. Is it a feature or something because the power button is blinking orange?

Monitor STFC (Self Test Feature Check)
* Turn off the monitor
* Plug the monitor power cord directly into the wall socket to remove any surge protectors or APCs from the troubleshooting equation
* Unplug the monitor video cable from the back of the computer
* Turn on the monitor
* The floating dialog box should appear on screen against a black background. If the issue appears during the STFC, the monitor is defective. Get it replaced

MOITOR WILL NOT POWER UP

If the power light does not come on, first try another outlet. If the monitor has a removable power cord, try another cord. If those don't work, there is a fault in the monitor power supply. Most likely the unit has bad capacitors. You will have to check them visually. If they look domed on the top, and perhaps stained, they will need to be replaced. If you cannot solder, then it's time to either take it into a service centre, or replace the monitor unless you have a friend who can replace the capacitors.

You can Google "replace capacitors in LCD monitor" to see examples of what must be done. If you inspect the power board and the capacitors are fine, there may be another problem with the power board which means unless it's a monitor worth over $200 it's unlikely worth having the power board replaced. Donate it to a school for their students to practice on.

The light is flashing orange on adapter and no power to system when turned on

It is possible that there is some foreign particles inside one of the connectors. Since the power supply does come apart and also disconnects from the unit, you can try to clean it to see if it will sort out your problem. Here's what to try:

1. Disconnect the AC adapter from the wall and the console. Let it rest for a few hours so that you do not electrocute yourself.

2. Disconnect the wall power cord from the AC adapter brick. Check the connections on both ends to see if it needs to be cleaned.

3. Clean any ends of the adapter with alcohol solution (isopropyl, or "rubbing" alcohol). Make sure the connection to the console is clean as well. Allow to dry.

4. Reconnect all necessary parts and try your console again.

If that does not work, there could be another problem with power flow to the AC adapter or a problem with the adapter itself.

Xbox 360 won't turn on

I had this problem. Make sure the pins in the USB ports (2 on the front and 1 on the back of the console) aren't bent and there's nothing obstructing them. I unbent some of the metal inside these ports, and voila! I have a working xbox.

Replacement AC/DC cord to power up my 1730B comp monitor

You cannot use a VGA cord to power a monitor. That is the cord that connects the monitor to the computer and is not the power cord. Almost all monitors use the exact same 3 prong power cord. Any computer shop will have a used one on hand.

Power brick colour

Alright, lets fix this!
 Xbox 360 power supply light is orange or yellow.
Usually when the Xbox 360 power supply light is orange it's on standby so there is no problem with your Xbox 360 console but the power supply can't supply it with power !

First you have to try unplugging the Xbox 360 power supply from the console & unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet also unplug the Xbox 360 power supply from the power cord, wait for a minute then reconnect it all back , also try it on another wall outlet without any extension cords at all.
If it's still doing the same it will be definitely a fault with the Xbox 360 power supply.
So, in this case please contact Xbox 360 customer support to fulfill the Xbox 360 power supply.

Xbox 360 power supply light is red.
There is something wrong with the Xbox 360 power supply connection so try unplugging the Xbox 360 power supply from the console & unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet also unplug the Xbox 360 power supply from the power cord, wait for minute then reconnect it all back , also try it on another wall outlet without any extension cord at all.

If it's still red that would be for sure a fault with the Xbox 360 power supply .
So, then contact Xbox 360 customer support to fulfill your Xbox 360 power supply .

You can also find replacement power cords many places online. See if you can get your hands on another cord and try that to see if its the current power cord.
Hope this helps you out! Please don't forget to rate :)

Xbox 360 Premium

You should have received the lead to plug into your TV you should also have a lead to plug into your PC monitor plus power lead and brick. The lead for the computer monitor would be the lead you need to play on an HDTV. Please rate if useful, thanks!

360 No Longer Turns On

By cord, do you mean the entire AC convertor box? Does the orange light on the convertor box light up? If you used your friends whole ac wire/convertor box (w/ the plug that goes into the xbox itself) and THAT didn't work, then your motherboard took a surge. It is probably trashed as they are VERRRRRRRY sensitive and prone to failure. Time for a new one (or a warranty "repair").
