Fail to install avgwdsvc.exe

The avg 8.5 means the new version pop up ans the message says your machine is unprotected thats ehy I'm trying to install the avg 8.5 after downloading and installing follow setp by step at nearly the end of the set up says Recomend would like to install the AVG Toolbars tick yes click next and says Application Termination and the message says action fail for file avgwdsvc.exe and so forth ....Pls help me to finish this installing ....

Error: Action failed for file avgwdsvc.exe: starting service.
open services.msc from run window and then find avgwdsvc.exe. right click and select properties then check the disabled checkbox. Apply and get out of services.msc. now try to install the new version of avg.

I'm deleting AVG from my computer and I think I've gotten rid of all traces except one. I open the task manager and look at processes and it says avgwdsvc.exe is still running. what do I do to get rid of...
Try to delete this file from following path.

C:\PROGRAM FILES\AVG\AVG8\avgwdsvc.exe

or

type msconfig in run and disable this process in startup menu.

PC Freezing constantly
Run the defrag on your hard drive then a test for errors on it.Let it fix any erors found as it runs . Then try to reinstall the antivirus software. If the defrag or the fix disk software keep going on and on and on then the hard drive is shot.

Try avast av go to avast.com and download the free version. It's very good. You need to sign up with an email address they will send you a key to copy and paste and it will be good for 14 months then you will need a new key. I've used it for years for free.

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.

Uninstall and Restart your computer.


Again download Avg and install.

Go with bitdefender or kaspersky this will work well.

It will help you to remove the anti virus ..


Demo version also works fine.

Downloaded new version of avg 8 giving me this error file avgwdsvc.exe error 0x00736b1
I have found that the AVG 8 is not real compatible to vista. Suggest the sheild deluxe for antivirus, exellent for XP and vista.
