Try changing the batteries in the remote
If the batteries are not strong enough the signal sent is not properly received
If you have changed the batteries try resetting the system via the main power supply by simply turning it off for a few minutes then back on
This should solve the issue but if it doesn't you may require a service tech

Replace receiver board or if you have a spare unit try to transfer the receiver board to the defective one and test the remote to confirm the unit problem.

ERROR CODE ON AIRCONDITIONER LG ART COOL INVERTER MODEL NUMBER LSZ244VM4

Hi,

The first thing i'll say is you will need to get it repaired by a technician and i strongly recommend you not to do it by urself.

Remote control units have diagnostic program in the
control, after 3 to 5 minutes of operating if the diagnostic
tools detect abnormal operation, then its shutdown the unit
to protect from damage. Thermistor sensor is one of the
parts that detect the operation of the unit. Out of range
or defective thermistor can shut the operation of the unit.
-
If your indoor and outdoor is clean start the unit in cool mode and monitor the outdoor pipes. If your suction pipe is icing or dry then your unit is under charge, but if your suction is cold and sweating then the system is ok and sure that the thermistor sensor is defective.
- Out of range thermistor sensor in both return air and freeze up sensor can cause the tripping “off “ the unit.

EC error code meaning

Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand that you are getting an "EC" error code on your Frigidaire air conditioner. However, it appears "EC" is an invalid error code. It is possible that the error code is missing characters? I show that the error code "ES" or "CS" is valid. In the meantime, I suggest resetting your air conditioner. You can do this by flipping the household circuit breaker for roughly ten minutes. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, could you please inform me of the new error code or if your air conditioner continues to display "EC". I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

Receiver freezes and does not communicate with remote, stays powered on though

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.

My FEDDERS air conditioning/ heating through the wall unit won't respond to my remote - the batteries are new and the screen on the unit won't change from " E2 ". Perhaps it is related with the snow?...

First you have to confirm if the remote control is defective. Use your cell phone camera to check the remote control transmitter. Using your camera as your eyes point your remote control to camera and "on" your remote control, light should emit in the remote control if it is good. Try to reset the error in the unit by disconnecting the power supply for 10sec. and operate the unit.If it the error code still present after the reset then you need a qualified technician for this problem.
