I cannot seem to fix my boss' phone. The FWD/DND button should be on lit but I can't get it to stay lit, I've tried everything under the program keys and can't get it to do it. Also, I need for his phone to be so that when I call in his office, it automatically puts me on intercom, so he doesn't have to pick it up and it won't go to his voice mail?

SOURCE: fwd/dnd button will not flash

FWD/DND is programmed in the system, not the phone. When you figure out what system you have, post again.

Try dialing 710x 165 (#) from the intercom on your phone, where x=2 for all calls, 3 for busy 4 for no answer and 5 for no answer/busy. Once you dial it, the FWD light should blink and if you press it again it will go out.

You probably just canceled the original setting.

SOURCE: FWD/DND

The behavior of the FWD light is programmed in system options. By default, it's usually set to be solid on FWD and blink on DND.

Here's a quick cut and paste from the OM for 76xx phones.

Dial *7x0y Where x=1-3 and y=1-6 for the following conditions:

.

Do Not Disturb *7101 / Cancel *7100

Call Forwarding (FWD)

– Both Calls *710
– Outside Calls *711
– Intercom Calls *712

2 (All calls) + phone no. + #/
3 (Busy) + phone no. + #/
4 (No Answer) + phone no. + #/
5 (Busy/No Answer) + phone no. + #/
7 (Follow Me) + your extension no./
8 (Follow Me Cancel) + your extension no.

So, if your voice mail is 500, you would dial *7105500# to set CF B/NA for intercom and outside calls.

SOURCE: kx-t7433 how to turn on fwd/dnd does not work

What happens when you dial 165 on the intercom? If you get voice mail, then try dialing 7104 165 # on the intercom. That sets CF-No Ans to voice mail for your set and the FWD/DND button should light solid (or not, it's a program option) or flash. If you dial 7101 it should turn on Do Not Disturb (7100 cancels). In DND, the FWD light should flash.

Once you have set these two conditions up, the FWD/DND button has 3 states, FWD, DND, and OFF.

When i press the program button and FWD/DND buttons nothing happens

You have to set the button up first. You can press the FWD button (or press INTERCOM and dial *710) then x (500 or 165 for your voice mail) #, where x is 2 for all calls, 3 for busy, 4 for no answer and 5 for busy/no answer. That will set the FWD for calls. To set DND, dial *7101. Once you set those codes, your FWD/DND will toggle between the 3 steps of OFF/DND/FORWARD.

*7100 cancels the button. These are the codes for All calls. There are 711 and 712 codes for internal and outside calls if you need to split them. Also, the No Answer and busy timer can be adjusted by the *713yy command where yy is the number of seconds. A good number is *71324 which gives you about 4 rings.

This is explained in you phone system Operating Manual (OM) under Call Forward and Do Not Disturb.

I have an issue with my FWD/DND function. Until yesterday, I was able to receive "in" calls. Apparently I accidentally hit the FWD/DND button! At first I wasn't getting ANY calls (never used...

I don't know about a "user guide" but the Operating Manual would work wonders. http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TDA/200_TDA_OM_06-121.pdf

The FWD/DND button has 3 steps of keypress, Off, FWD, DND. The idea is you press it until it stops flashing or being lit and you have nothing set. If that doesn't work, try Call FWD/DND cancel, *7100 on the intercom.

How do i turn off the DND on my KT-X7331 desk phone

Typically this is controlled by the status of the FWD/DND button and indicated by the button light.
button light off: Forward and Do Not Disturb off
button light blinking red: Forward on
button light solid on: Do Not Disturb on

The functionality of this button can be customized by the phone system installer. If the method outlined above does not work the status and activation of this feature can be accessed through the staion programminng. To use station programming press <program> then scroll through the features using the LCD screen navigation keys or enter the specific program number. To program FWD/DND the program number is 50.

Want to turn the DND off

Typically DND is turned on and off by pressing the FWD/DND button. There are three status conditions for this button indicated by the button light.
button light off: both features off(Forwarding and Do Not Disturb)
button light blinking red: Forwarding on
button light solid red: Do Not Disturb on

The functionality of this button can be customized by the phone system installer to work differently than outlined above. Station features can also be accessed through station programming using the LCD screen by pressing the button then either scrolling through the features using the LCD screen navigation keys or entering the specific program number as in 50 for FWD/DND programming.

FWD/DND light is on and so is an extension light but the FWD/DND setting is off but when i check messages, i get a busy signal.

If the FWD/DND light is lit solid, the extension is in DND if it's programmed properly. You can test this by pressing the FWD button and reading the display. It will clear and press it again and it will set and tell you what it did. (if DND and FWD are both set it shows 3 states).

At the phone, press intercom and dial *710x where x=2 for all calls, 3 for busy, 4 for no answer or 5 for busy/no answer plus the extension of the voice mail plus #. Your FWD light should blink and you have now set FWD to voice mail.

Digital panasonic kx-t7633

The 7633 has a FWD/DND button. Is it blinking, lit solid or dark? It's designed to be pressed 3 times for FWD DND or OFF....It's programmed as follows, assuming that 500 is your voice mail access code:

From the intercom dial *7101. That sets DND. Dial 710x 500 # to set call forwarding where x-2 for all calls 3 for BUSY for for NO ANS 5 for BSY/NA. 7&8 are FOLOW ME commands and they have a different set of instructions ie Dial *7107 plus your extension to have calls come to the phone you're at and *7108 plus your extension to cancel it. I have never seen it used. *7100 cancels all forward and DND arrangements from your phone..

This is just hte command set for ALL CALLS. You can also set up forwarding for Outside Calls and Inside calls seperately and you can program buttons to do the forwarding.

Your Panasonic dealer has 2 manuals that you would find interesting, one is the TDA Operating Manual and the PTPM Manual. The operating manual has a complete set of programming instructions for the manager and users of TDA systems, the PTPM has a complete set of programming features that can be performed from a Panasonic 76XX display phone.

THe pdf's aren't huge and they can be sent to your email address if you provide one under the Ask Me button.
