How do i repair my viking water heater - Fisher and Paykel (IWL12)

There are several issues that need to be checked. What mode is the deffroster set to? There are several modes to check. There is a heater coil under the pan to assist in evaporating the water from the condensation tray. If you are in a high humidity area the condensation could be from that. Heater as in divider million strip? It's in the door strip. Defrost heater is in freezer. This model is a whirlpool built unit fyi

in 2020 I had a few repairs on my Eaton/Viking dryer ED314W429 1 - replace heater coil - replaced with GE coil kit P# WE25M27K
2 - replace snapped belt - replaced with part# WG03F00846
It takes a while to figure things out DIY, however it's running again..

there is a hinge recall on fridge door is covered by warranty regardless of age
it can cause the air channel from freezer to fridge to ice over due to too much humidity entering fridge
this stops cooling in fridge
the viking warranty starts from the day you took possession

sounds like you need a better servicer
ask viking for other auth servicer in your area

There is a drain pan heater unless mfr before 2005. Call Viking parts for that heater kit and eliminate that issue . 8004889868

I had the same problem. Your water line is frozen. Turn off your freezer and the water line will unfreeze and it will work. You can see about putting in a heater on your water line. There have been mixed reviews on whether or not it works. The water line just froze again, so I may try the heater.

you will need to replace water valve, it's not completely closing and water is leaking a little, so it's frosted in the water line.
other choice is install heater on water line, on all new refrigerators it's installed.
