I am getting an F5 and E1 alternating error messages after self clean. The automatic door will not unlock either. What do I do?

after cleaning oven.. I attempted to turn the stove on got error message to say "unlock door" door is unlock....What do I do????

II have a 8 month old GE smooth top range and I'm having a similar problem but I actually get the words 'unlock'. 2 days ago I self cleaned the over. When the cycle was over, I unlocked the door (our unlock is manual). Later on I went to use the oven and everytime I press bake, I get the unlock message. I've tried several times, still can't use the oven. I unplugged the stove for several hours hoping to reset - it didn't.

I've searched the internet and can't find a solution. I do have a service call lined up now but would like suggestions as this happens every time I self clean. Last time it just started working again ..

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.
