I was working out on my NT x 9 i incline trainer and my phone fell and either hit the belt or my foot hit the belt and the side. Since then when I go to start the belt will not move. All of the other buttons work and the incline and fan functions. Usually you press resume or start and it starts at 1 mph. I moved the belt with my foot and it started going however if on 1 it will slow and eventually stop altogether. I opened up the back to try to check things out and noticed a red blinking light. Could stepping on it wrong once mess up the motor?

Check the drive belt. It may be loose or broken. If the belt is loose, then to tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down.

# get a 12-18 volt dc battery fully charged(like one from a cordless drill)
# Make sure it is fully charged, because it won't work if not
# attach the + and - to the motor red is + and black is -
# If the motor turns slightly your motor is ok, if not the motor is bad and would need replaced
# if the motor is ok then your motor controller(the board with the metal) is malfunctioning and would need replaced.

HI, its seems like the belt on the motor has either slipped off, or you just need to tighten it. best way to find out is to take off the front pannel showing the motor. then stand on the treadmill. start it and you will see the problem.

Treadmills have a moving belt while elliptical trainers have two foot pedals guiding movement - making it more controlled and safer. Elliptical trainers also have handles, in which the user has the option to move their arms in opposition to their legs to better control movement.
