limp modes come from the engine and the transmission so it could be the engine or wires not connected to the transmission

Its in limp mode,,, need to get code reader on it,
could just be split intercooler pipe, faulty boost sensor or waste gate getting stuck. These all very common

Not Limp Mode

go to FORDOBDCODES.COM. LOL.

run the fault codes to find the sensor that put it in limp mode and repair/ replace it . use that scanner to reset the CPU program to get it out of limp mode.

The light is the engine light and the reason that you cannot go fast is because the CPU is in limp mode. Check the oil and water levels and check engine operating temperature. Have the codes read to find the sensor that put the car in limp mode to protect the engine and gear box.

Firstly i cannot find these fault codes ,either on the generic or the opel code list ,now the computer on this car is on the back of the engine or to the firewall where the servo would be on a LHD model so its possible it got a bit wet ,but without being able to know what the codes are i have no idea where to do from here ,now the only thing i can think off is offside passenger side on a LHD vehicle would mean the gas fume recycling thing is on this side could the body man have left a pipe off this device or cut through one of the pipes ,I do think this is down the bodyshop to sort out for you ,what you should have done was to check the car out first before you paid for it
