Water collecting in fridge

I have a hotpoint rf07 fridge freezer, everthing seems to work ok but the fridge collects water inside on the bottom and when you open the door water runs down the side of the freezer door and a pool of water collects on the floor,is this just a case of de-frosting the freezer,if anyone could advice me on what to do this would be gratefully appreciated.

Look in back of fridge and find the drain tube it lets the wter from defrosts trickle into the vaporizer pan in back by the compressor. they pug up. you can clear it with a good wet dry shop vac and good suction on the tube. you should be able to hear suction inside the freezer when you **** it in the back. sometimes these plug up then freeze. you can take interior panels apart in freezer to access or thaw it 48 hours then try the vac. good luck

Philco/Eletrolux upright freezer error code 5

E5 Error code indicates that the water collection tank is full. To drain the water collection tank completely, leave the bottom drain cap off long enough to allow any residual water to drain out. Once the water tank is completely drained and no more water flows out, reinstall the cap

We have a Bosh KIM29473GB for some time water has been collecting in the bottom tray of the fridge and only takes a few days to fill up, this weekend the freezer stopped working and now nothing works.

If you hear a click every few minutes and a buzz / click then nothing, it would sound as if your compressor is gone, the water problem is the defrost drain pipe is blocked

Water collecting in fridge well

your drain line is clogged. Either drefrost the entire unit or use a hair dryer to defrost the drain line in the back of the unit's refrigerator section. Some units have a drain line in the back that is black and needs to be cleared,

I have the same problem

Most probably defrost thermostat is defective. Unit never goes into defrost, ice forms on coil and in floor of freezer. After defrosting may work OK for a week or two but gradually gets warmer because ice is blocking ports where cool air gets to refrig. May also have water in refrig box. Can also be caused by defective defrost timer. This can also be caused by the drain hole being blocked by ice. You MUST remove all ice in drain under freezer coil. Use turkey baster to squirt hot water into hole and use hairdryer to defrost.

My Maytag side by side fridge freezer is leaking at the bottom and ice is collecting at the bottom of the freezer. I cannot find any model number but think it's about 6 years old

The drain is clogged behind the wall in the freezer you can do one of three things take the back wall inside the freezer off and thaw the drain in the bottom and clear it out,Pay someone else to do this,or you can mover your food for a day unplug the unit open the freezer door and leave it off for 24 hours allowing the ice to clear from the drain, seems to happen about every five or six years with Maytags..

Ice collecting under bottom of Freezer drawer/ seal round door intact/ food staying frozen/ Ice is cleared periodically but then builds up again

Your defrost drain hole is clogged. Look for the drain hole in the bottom rear of the freezer section. Turn off the fridge. Heat the drain hole with a hair dryer and clear the ice. Pour a quarter cup of bleach into the hole.
