THE WIRING ON THE KICK START SWITCH HAS BROKEN HOW DO I REWIRE IT??

KICK STARTS DON'T HAVE A SWITCH

that's why its a "kick" start. You rewire an electrical start with a soldering iron, heatshrink, and by matching up the wires.

Rewire lamp

It depends on the problem. Common problems such as bad sockets can be repaired by a handyman. Lamp sockets, switches and heat resistant fixture wire are readily available from big box stores, local hardware stores, etc. If the problem is related to the house wiring, you need to contact an electician.

INtermatic Model ST01 timer is to be used in a 3 way switch arrangement. The unit works in one switch position but fails to allow the light to turn on in the other switch position. Several other switches...

ST01C timer replaces one 3-way switch and the other 3-way switch remains.
The ST01C timer does not work exactly like a 3-way switch.
When the timer blue and red wires are connected together, they reverse whatever program is in effect.
When the timer is wired for single-pole, the red wire is capped off. When timer is wired for 3-way, the red wire is used to reverse the timer, thus causing the 3-way effect.
So if timer is ON, and red and blue wires are put together, the timer turns OFF.
That's why the remaining 3-way switch has to be rewired.
The remaining 3-way switch is rewired so it will connect and disconnect the red and blue wires, causing the timer to reverse program each time, and creating 3-way effect.
Other requirements of ST01C is that the black wire must connect to Hot wire, and the blue wire must always connect to Load. This means that you have to correctly pick which 3-way switch to replace, where the hot wire from breaker arrives.
Open following link for wiring diagram showing how to wire for 3-way:
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html#ST01C
All 3-way timers require rewiring second 3-way switch to create 3-way effect.

I have an older model heil quaker natural gas furnace. the wiring to the blower limit switch has dry rot and melted thru causing a short. is this common? can i just rewire or may there be other problems

Test to make sure the limit switch is still working prior to the rewire. Use an Ohm meter and test for continuity. If good, use some good quality 14 or 12 guage wire to rewire. If the unit has an in-line fuse, you will need to replace that as well.

Cord got cut on my dewalt screwgun. dont know how to rewire to the trigger

Have you removed the old cord yet, if not make a crib sheet showing where the wires go. If the wires push into the switch use a staple and bend one of the long ends and push into hole and when pushing gently pull the cord wire out. Let me know if you need any other help

Rewireing pedal board wires.

First look for witness marks. SOMETIMES the length of the remaining wires will clue you where they came from.

Next look at the circuitry of the pedal switch. Can you see a common connection to all of the switches? If so, that MAY be a black colored wire or green or white.

ASSUMING you have three pedals, there should be 4 wires. There are exactly 24 possible connecting sequences. Bare the wires and short different pairs till you find the pair that do the sustain. One of those will be the common and the other the sustain.

NOTE: these are all low voltage connections so you should not get any electrical shocks.

Once you find two of the connections, the others become much easier.
