DPR-1260 ... has been operational for a few months. Web config was working via http://IPAddress during first-time setup. Now the unit is suddenly not available and any attempts to access the web config via the IP Address locks up the Print Server.
I have reset the DPR-1260 many times and it acquires an IP address via DHCP from my router - and it even shows up if I enable "Show uPNP devices" in "My Network Places". I can even print to my printer via wired network cable using the DHCP IP Address. BUT I cannot print wirelessly since I cannot get into the web config of the unit.
HELP!!!!
Okay.....I was having the same problem too. I was able to get some help that worked for me. I tried to recall all the steps. Here is what I had to do to set up my DPR-1260 print server again:
How to connect/install after changing router or computer:
9. Under “IP address”, enter the IP address of your router (that you connect the print server to)
10. Under “Default gateway”, enter the IP address of your router again
11. “Subnet Mask” should be: 255.255.255.0
12. click “save”……..the system will reboot and the web page will say “not able to connect” or something like that. This is because we have now changed the IP address of the print server.
13. Disconnect Ethernet cable from your computer and now connect it to your router.
14. Now open new browser and enter in the IP address of router. This should open the web configuration page again.
15. Go to “SetUp” and run SetUp
16. Print Test Page. It should work now.
17. Go back to step 3 (above) and now click “Obtain an IP address automatically” and make sure that “Obtain DNS server address automatically” is also selected. This is so your internet will work properly again.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did disconnect the print server wired connection and repowered it. Still had the same problem. I finally decided to change the IP address from DHCP to static and that solved the problem. Not sure why, but all is good now.
Keep in mind that once you have configured the wireless networking on the print server, you MUST disconnect it from the wired network. It uses the same MAC (aka "hardware") address on both interfaces, so when it tries to participate on both, it fails to be networked at all. Make sure you're only using one (wireless or wired) network at a time.
Because this print server uses the same MAC (aka "hardware") address on both its wired and wireless interfaces, you cannot have it connected to both at the same time. So, once you configure the wireless to work, make SURE you DISCONNECT the wired interface. After you've disconnected the wired interface, restart the print server. If things are connected properly, then the print server should come up and running fine on the wireless network.

To get into the web configuration you need to know your firmware on the DPR-1260. If it is 1.12, us http://dlinkps-xxxxxx where the X's are the last 6 number of the mac address. If it is 1.20 and up, use http://dlink-xxxxxx, where the x's are the last 6 number of the mac address. If you do set it up as DHCP or static and know the ip address of the print server just type in the ip address of the print server on the address bar.
To make it work wirelessly. Follow my post above to get into your print server. Click on Setup tab , click on wireless settings on the left and input your wireless information. Save the settings and log back into the print server. Check the status tab and click on wireless, check the connection status. If it says connected then your wireless info is correct. If it says not connected then the wireless info is incorrect or there is a hardware issure on the wireless portion of the print server

I, too, have problems getting my DPR-1260 to work wirelessly. I can access the print server when wired directly to my Dlink DI624, but when I try to connect wirelessly it disappears.
Dlink support is not helpful. Any ideas?
Yup, same problem. Unit accessed fine through the ip address, now it will not. Two printers plugged in so two printer lights are on. When I type in the ip address to access the web setup pages, the two lights for the printers shut off and I can't print. Have to unplug it to make it work, but can't access the setup. Even tried using the "friendly" address but the same thing happens.
Just an update, in device manager, network adapters, I double clicked on my ethernet controller and clicked the Advanced tab. I found that if Jumbo Packet or Jumbo Frame as listed on another computer is set to anything over about 2000 bytes or MTU, I cannot access the web page setup of the print server, but it prints OK. Changing the Jumbo Packet/Frame to 1514 on one computer and 2KB MTU on another allows access to the setup. Anything higher does not. I'm guessing the DPR-1260 does not understand Jumbo Frame rates. It would be nice for them to fix this in the next firmware update.
Had the same exact problem with this PS and had D-Link replace the DPR-1260 device, not once, but three times in the last year via RMA!
I have added the PS's MAC address in my router, but I can't get my PS recognized by connecting directly to my router or cannot even get it to be visible by connecting to directly to my computer's PnP using My Network Places. I can't pull up the PS web configuration either by IP or by dlink-xxxxx.
After going through all the same repetitive troubleshooting steps with D-Link support at least 10 times for all three instances of HW replacement, I am pretty convinced that it is be faulty hardware or a firmware issue, but it seems that none of the techs I have dealt with could help resolve it. They even had me contact higher level specialized support (tier 3), but I never got a call back from them.
