Since your using a MacBook there is no option for this Pci Digital Sound Card.

Those Boston digital speakers were supplied with a few Dell models as part of a package. They need a digital input, and the Creative sound card supplied with those models had digital output. Your new Dell only has an analog output which isn't compatible. The speakers aren't seeing any input signal. If you want to keep those speakers, you'll either need to take the sound card from your old Dell (if you still have it) and install that in your new computer, or buy a sound card with digital output.

i had the same problem but i went to adjust settings and it says right speaker left speaker and you have to set them on ten

This speaker system requires a digital audio input, which most older systems don't have. Chances are your new sound card might be able to output in digital mode as well, but you may have to turn it on manually.
