Dont know the user name or password for google to unlock the phone

I found this phone and its a G1. When I turn it on it goes to the google display page to login in with the user name and password. My problem is I don't know the user name or password. I even tried my own but it's locked. The only way I can get it unlocked is if I know the information...is there another solution for this?

Remove the battery on the phone and then turn it back on while holding the home and power button at the same time. It should bring you to the bootloader screen. Press Alt+L and then Alt+W to wipe the phone. When you reboot the phone now, you can log into your gmail account, but only if you are a T-Mobile customer with the G1 data plan. T-Mobile doesn't track IMEI's so it doesn't matter if it was reported lost or stolen

Try factory reset or reinstall the firmware, it may reset all saved settings. But if it's reported lost/stolen you won't be able to use it at all.

Forgot pattern and now locked
If you've forgotten your screen lock pattern, you have up to five attempts to try and unlock HTC Wildfire S.
If this fails, you can unlock HTC Wildfire S by entering your Google Account user name and password.
  1. On the unlock screen, enter your lock pattern.
  2. After the fifth attempt, when you're asked to wait for 30 seconds, tap OK.
  3. If the display goes off, press the POWER button to turn the display back on, and then unlock the screen.
  4. Tap the Forgot pattern? button when it appears.

How do i get free unlock code for g1 google phone
Dear,
  • 1. Side out the Keyboard / Open Left Hand side Notch to unlock Battery Panel.

  • 3. Press MENU Button Constantly and Switch the Phone using Red Talk End / Power Button but do not Release the Menu Key.
  • 4. This will put on the Phone in Safe Mode.
  • 5. Press to Emergency Dial Button, Windows dial *#06# and this will show IMEI Number: note it down and also Recheck IMEI with Box.

  • 7. Now Return to main Screen and Press MENU Button this Will popup APN Button, Just Press it.

  • 10. Now Switch off the Phone and Wait for Unlock codes.

  • 12. HTC G1 will ask for Unlock Codes. Type unlock code carefully, typing wrong code thrice may make Phone Hardware Locked.
  • 13. Once Unlocked your GPRS / EDGE / 3G Data Service will be active as per APN Setting we did before.
  • 14. Type Google User name / Password in Signing Window and this will Activate the Unlock G1 Device on your SIM Card.
  • 15. Make other remaining Data Setting like MMS / Home Page / Port to Active other Data Service

Please i need to unlock my T-Mobile G1 mobile phone. How can you help me with remote unlock if i provide IMEI number.
Exactly how are you locked out? If you're stuck on the lock-out screen with a lockout pattern that you've forgotten? If that's the case, the G1 manual indicates the following:
"When you fail to draw the correct unlock pattern on the screen after five attempts, you will be prompted to wait for 30 seconds before you can try again. If you forgot your screen unlock pattern, touch Forgot pattern. You will be prompted to sign in using your Google Account name and password, and create a new screen unlock pattern before the Home screen displays."

Ive locked my g1, too many wrong attempts on pattern code. now asking me for google email and password, as i normally used "hotmail" i made up a google one, now cant access it, tried everything through...
1. Turn the G1 off. If it’s frozen on, take the battery out and put it back in the unit.
2. Hold the Home and Power keys down at same time for about 25 seconds. You will see a yellow triangle screen with exclamation point in the middle.
Now to wipe the device clean:
3. Press Alt+L.
4. Press Alt+W for a factory reset.
5. Press the Home and Back keys again for about 25 seconds.
The device should then reset again and the hard reset is complete.

G1 How To
I wanted to unlock my G1 i recently purchased on ebay and I was not aware that its simlocked. I googled for almost half a day and I found that its impossible to unlock G1 any free method. There is many sites offering codes but most of them looked very unprofessional but at least some looked ok to me. I gave a try to FastGSM. Their service was amazing! I got code in less then 15 minutes and its price was just 20 usd. Some other sites was asking double money for same job.
