Testimonial: "My old Buddy passed away and left me his Mossburg 350 KA. While inspecting it I've noticed that there are pliers marks pressed into the sides of the breech plug and have assumed that someone has attempted to remove this plug to clean and damage the plug plastic slightly. Maybe I will attempt wrapping the plug with leather and use some channel locks to unscrews the breech plug. I'm guessing that it unscrews like a bolt."

SOURCE: I broke a pick off in my breech plug. I had to

DO NOT fire it until you've replaced the breach plug!
The breach plug hole size is critical, opening it up even a few thousandths of an inch can cause a dangerous situation whereby chamber gasses can push the primer or musket cap back against the hammer and allow blow by gasses to exhaust directly into the shooter's face.

SOURCE: how do I disassemble the bolt on a mossberg 100 ATR

Apparently the three previous folks have no idea that a Mossbergt 100 ATR is a RIFLE not a shotgun. Regretfully it is a press fit at the rear (multiple splines, pressure fitted into multiple recesses). What that means in English is that it's a factory fix. Sorry!

I'm working on replacing my multifunction switch on my 1999 Chevy Suburban 5.7Ls and when I went to loosen the side battery cables the bolts are tight to where the bolt head is stripping

  1. Use a penetrating oil: Apply a penetrating oil like PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench or WD-40 to the bolt and let it sit for a few hours. The oil can help to loosen the corrosion and rust that is likely causing the bolt to be stuck.
  2. Use a different wrench or socket: If the wrench or socket you are using is slipping on the bolt head, try using a different size wrench or socket that fits more securely.
  3. Use a bolt extractor: A bolt extractor is a special tool that can be used to remove stripped bolts. It works by gripping the bolt from the inside and turning it counterclockwise. You can find bolt extractors at most auto parts stores.
  4. Use pliers or vice grips: If the bolt head is completely stripped, you can try using pliers or vice grips to grab onto the bolt head and turn it counterclockwise. Be careful not to damage the battery terminal while doing this.
  5. Heat the bolt: If the bolt is rusted or corroded, heating it up with a propane torch or a heat gun can help to loosen it. Be careful not to overheat the battery terminal or the surrounding area.

SHOT A EXTRAHOT RELOADED RND NOW CANT GET BOLT TO OPEN

The best and safest option would be to take it to a gunsmith
If you want to try to fix it yourself try gently knocking the bolt forward until you can lift the bolt handle to the up position if possible if that works pull bolt rearward if it is to hard stuck put a brass rod down the barrel and drift the case out
If the rear of the case breaks of you will need a case. Extractor to try and remove the body of the case still in the chamber
After all this you may still need to find a gunsmith

How to remove firing pin spring from mossberg 835 shotgun

Small pin at the back of the bolt. Top edge. Tap it out. As with all pins, just drift it out to the point that you can grab it with smooth pliers and twist it out. Do NOT drive a punch any further into that hole than you need to. Punches widen as they go and you'll deform the hole. Pins are cheap to replace, bolts aren't.

Mossberg 817 magazine

Not much can go wrong. Have you checked your extractor? If it's intact and not broken, try moving it with your thumbnail. Is it loose? That's a spring problem. If it's tight and intact, WITH THE BOLT OUT, try slipping a small diam wooden dowel down the barrel to see how hard it is to push a spent shell out. If it's tight, you've got a burr in the chamber or dirt/varnish buildup. Examine the shell for scratches. If the shell's good and no scratches, clean the chamber with a brass brush mounted in a drill.

My car wont start all its doing is turning could it be a bad distributor

first check and see if your getting spark to the plugs, remove the number one plug,, then ground the end of it to the block someplace,, any bolt will do , hold the plug wire ( that's attached to the removed plug again) with insulated pliers as you hold it on the bolt, have someone turn the motor over, you should see a blue spark arc across the end of the plug, if not, back track,, remove the distributor cap,, and check inside of it for any build up on the contacts,, look for any hair line cracks also,, check the rotor, make sure the face of it is clean,, and the spot where the coil connects is making good contact, if you see any damaged parts just replace them, they aren't that expensive. if your still having trouble after that ,, reply to this answer and I'll help you figure it out

I have a mossberg 385t,he took the bolt out to clean it and now cant get it to go all the way back in......What do i do?

This may be a bit tricky. If you have pulled the trigger as you re-insert the bolt and that has not worked. You may have to arm the bolt, try with safe off and pull the trigger as you reinsert the bolt. You may have to pre rotate the Coc piece into the slot in the receiver.

Stripped oil plug

If you use a good pair of vise grips you may be able to get it off if you adjust the visegripes just beyond your ability to clamp them and then proceed to clamp them shut with a large pair of channel lock pliers, if this does not work drill the appropriate size hole through the bolt and tap in a large easy out bolt extractor into the hole drilled and proceed to use a star socket
on the end of the extractor to unsrew the frozen oil pan bolt.
