I need to be able to call block on my Blackberry Curve 8330 other than having Verizon charge me $5 per month for the service. Are there any downloadable software options that I can use with this phone? I thought I found one on a google search, but it turned out to be for another version of the BB.
Any help or direction would be awesome,
Kathy
Verizon has free Usage Controls that you can manage online at www.verizonwireless.com and by logging into "My Verizon." You can even set Days and times that the phone is allowed to make/receive calls, text messages, etc. No charge. Login and check it out! There is also no charge for Caller-ID block, if that's what you're looking for. Ask for a supervisor is a representative tells you otherwise.
Nope, the call blocks are handled by the switching hardware the cell provider uses. You can set your bb to block text messages, multimedia messages, pin messages, blackberry internet services, and enterprise email, but that's it.
