I can't get my iPhone 3G to detect other bluetooth devices. Some devices detect it, but are unable to pair with the Iphone 3G. This iPhone 3G bluetooth problem is another one in a chain of iPhone 3G problems, i'm starting to regret i bought it. Nelson. Bluetooth headset seems to have crashed my Iphone My IPhone seems to have gone "**** up" since I paired it with my Bluetooth (Sony Ericsson). After about 30 mins no one can call me (they say phone is off) & every call I make it just says "call ended" or Failed. Anyone else have this prob or is my phone faulty? if it IS faulty, then this will be the SECOND Iphone I will have taken back in ONE MONTH!!! I too am regretting every bloody upgrading to this **** phone :-(((
Sony not so good.. try this will work best for your iphone.
Technicians say that Apple has made the Bluetooth facility available in iPhone NOT for transfer of data, but it is a facility for call conversations and music-hearing without sticking to the iPhone. So, iPhones, Ipods won't detect the bluetooth connected to each other or to any other phone. However, I understand there's one third party software (Bluetooth Photo Share or Bluetooth IM) to be installed in iPhone or iPod for transfer of data. -- M.S.Ramakrishna
Sorry my english.
you must restart in iTunes your 3G because there was some problems with some firmwares. by the other side, bluetooth native app is not able to see other phones ...only apple devices... ):
almost there is an application called "iBluetooth" in Cydia but you must have your phone with jailbrake..
i love theh iphone becaudse i can do a lot of things that the others don't whatever be the phone.
Sony Ericson is fine but...
hope i help you

Ive seen a couple of software issues that cause every call to fail. if you call apple, they should be able to at least see if its a software issue. which firmware version are you running?
If you bought your phone from Apple then it can't be faulty. Don't worry about that. iPhone use different bluetooth technology so not all bluetooth headset support it. Why don't you try to go to a Apple store and ask them let you try a iPhone supported bluetooth headset? then you'll know if it's the headset problem or iPhone problem right ? good luck n hope this help.
IPhone's are cool bro, sounds like you have had a bab experiance though, anyway.
iPhone OS 3.0 unlockes the audio bluetooth capabilites. is your phone on iPhone 3.0? if so, turn on search and connect :D
STOP, IN THE NAME OF PANTS!!
You HAVE ti get the new software update the 3G phone is the best the new update means you will get bluetooth really easy + you can do MMS (*eeek!!*)
The iPhone 3G is unable to connect with other devices because of audio fraud with iTunes (I think) But it can connect with headsets. If the headset has seemed to crash the iPhone, a restore might be in order, which sounds like it. I have had a similar problem with my iPhone. Go into iTunes, and restore the software. Then try to re-connect. If all fails, might be your headset, se try using a friends phone to connect.
