same here. As long as what I've got hooked up does what I want it to do, I just ignore it. I say that if it's not affecting your computer's performance, then just leave it alone.

i ball tablet comes with a driver cd.. uninstall your usb unknown device and install the driver..it should work properly..

else connect to internet and update your diriver..

as for 2000 the same procedure will work...

try using different USB port. if the it is unknown device. means the machine didn't recognized the device. you may have to install the device driver. (windows is a funny thing).

have you tried to plug it into another usb por to see if you get the same result, the original port might be in a locked state and may have had problems releasing the usb key.

Did you try reboot your PC?
