Problem with router; Msn gets disconnected frequently.

Uninstall MSN Messenger Live in the Add/Remove Programs Panel in Control Panel.
2) Delete the MSN Messenger Live folder in Documents & Settings, and App Data.
3) Reinstall MSNM, and disable all options.
4) Disconnect from the internet, via Run/cmd (the command prompt). By going C:, ipconfig all, ipconfig release.
5) Start up MSN , and wait for a troubleshoot screen, press 'repair' and let it do what it does.
6) Reconnect to the network.
7) Sign in again and configure options (except sign in automatically, and sign in when connection to inernet establsihed).
clean up ur registry keys for messenger with reginout to fixur problem permanentaly

try this
close MSN
than go to
start
control panel
add&remove programs
‘windows live essentials’(if using WLM 2009)
‘windows live messenger’(if using WLM 8.5)
click on 'remove'
and then on 'repair'
wait til the wizard finishes
sign in again

If this doesn't work I suggest trying to download a new MSN preferable the newest update.

Please access your router default page and disable WPS(WIFI protected system) option. And then once your done disabling the above option, and if you still have any problems,
                                       OR
Try uninstalling messenger and reinstall it again or try using windows messenger the default one which windows provide and try using that and see if you can work on it with no hastle.

well, i cant really help with this, but i would first try it out with wired network, and if it doesn't work, then u would know that the problem is with Messenger. then i suggest u could look up the problem on windows live support, or just re-install Messenger. (if the problem is with the wireless internet, then maybe ur Internet Card, inside ur PC is broken or needs to be rebooted) HOPE THIS HELPS!

MSN servers are just being matenanced, you will have to wait 1 day or less. I had the same problem yesterday.

uninstall msn messenger to begin with and download and install once again.

If this still happens reset your router, the router may of changed itself to strict so just reset :)

I uninstalled the Norton 360 program. Windows Live Messenger seems to be able to stay online now.

haha it worked for me i fixed my problem. Try this it might work or might not. Go in to internet explorer and make sure work ofline is not ticked or make sure theres nothing wrong with your internet explorer. Try downloading the latest internet explorer. :D Hope this helps

Make sure you have a 3 boxes checked where you sign in at. You have to make a connection through messenger first, then disconnect, and then try to sign on again, and it should have all of your login info stored. This should take care of that ...

i had da same problem i went to google and i didnt find any way so i start finding it my way ..IF msn is not responding after 3 seconds when you signin...And if you did system restore dat what had happened to me ... i ve the answer... Go to Control panel> firewall>exception> .... IF YOU VE MORE DAN TWO WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER CHECKED..here is da mistake ...just uncheck one and signin and see..IF its again not workin check the other one.. CAUTION: leave da msn (phone) NO NEED ........I HOPE MY ANSWER IS HELP FULL
