Cannot establish broadband connection from cd

IT SURELY WORKS WITH BOTH USB AND LAN SIMULTANOUSLY BUT THE ONLY THING IS THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO INSTALL IT TO USE IT THROUGH USB BUT LAN IS JUST PLUG AND PLAY.

Yes, Linksys WRT160N is 100% compatible with ADSL2. Linksys WRT160N is a Broadband router.

you will not be able to use the linksys WRT160N, as an ADSL2 modem router. you should be using an ADSL2 Modem separately and connect the cable from the modem to the Linksys WRT160N. Hope this clarify the doubt.

I HAVE A DNA-A211-I BSNL MODEM. I RESET IT CONTINUE 4-5 TIME AND AFTER RESET IN MODEM DSL AND WLAN IS NOT WORKING AND MODEM IS NOT CONNECTED TO MY PC. I USE WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM. RESET BUTTON IS NOT WORKING. SO PLS SOLVE MY PROBLEM.

this is not a problem with ur PC or router this could be in the Filter or splitter that ur ISP gave you, what i would do is call ur ISP and have them run a line test that could be the reason

www.speakeasy.net go to the bottom you should see whats my speed or test ur speed click on that and select a server closest to you and it will run a speed test up and download speed

To fix the issue in windows vista.Follow the stepss
1.Plug the usb modem 2.goto control panel > windows update. Windows update will find the drivers automatically and will install it..

plug the modem through the USB cable given to the usb port and install the required driver from the given CD..If usb cable or CD is not given approach the BSNL office and ask for it..Else u can buy a lan card whick cost abt 100 i think..

u can use any brand . there's no problem in that . installation procedure is very simple. just buy a pci lan card. Insert it in the pci slot. Then switch on your computer , insert the driver cd provided with your lan card , then install the appropriate drivers.
Then, you can connect BSNL Broadband by connecting your ADSL modem with your LAN card.

I belive with this modem you will:
1.Access the interface, generally http://192.168.1.1/
2. Go to Advanced on the left.
3. Select WAN.
4. Now you may see several rows of info, look for the one that says PPPoE, and then click edit to the far right.
5. Select Next one time.
6. Here select "BRIDIGING".
7. Click next all the way to the end.
8. Reboot, after you clicked save of course.


This is how you bridge 98% of PPPoE providers with a similar paradign modem.

Of course the next device in line will have to provide your username and password for your DSL connection.
