I can't find any update after 4.0 The first were released with 2.3, so I done' think they will bring out an update.

The only place to get firmware is on the site of the maker. So this time it is Huawei. But most of the time you only can get updates and almost never the normal firmware. And to load the update the apparatus has to work normal. So if your Huawei does not work I don'e think you can do anything with firmware. Look at Huawei under support.
