No sound from speakers, loose connection in green jack wire.

Hello, I foolishly let my housemates use my logitech speakers casually in the lounge some time ago. Before that, the speakers were working fine. Now the green jack lead has a loose connection, and has to be fiddled with constantly in order to get sound from it. Could someone please advise me what the best thing is to do about this? I cannot send the speakers back and I don't want to buy new ones. Is there a way to cut the wire down beyond the dodgy connection area and connect a new green jack or....? Thank you for your consideration.

Buy Nokia blue-tooth earphone (It comes with separate blue tooth dongle and earphone).Connect the speakers audio jack to the blue-tooth dongle. Use the blue-tooth dongle for connecting your audio device or lappy to the speaker. Thus you have a blue-tooth enabled speakers which can be connected wirelessly without pulling the audio jack and thereby life of jack increases as there is no problem of loose connection.

How to connect speakers logitech z 5500 to the TV Samsung UN32F5500 32-Inch 1080p 60Hz Slim Smart LED

Hello there!
I have seen manuals of both the systems. You have two options to connect Logitech z5500 speakers to Samsung UN32F5500 TV.
1. With Optical Audio Cable.

0daa0bcc-2410-4f3f-9f1b-001ec53d8ec3.jpg

2. Stereo Ear Phone Connection.
Simply plug in Green earphone cable of Logitech Speakers to Green Audio out Jack described on Page 7 of the TV manual. If you are using stereo EP you may not experience 5.1sound separation. And it is also mentioned that you should not use other two audio cables of the tri-EP-cable provided with Logitech speakers.

Have a nice day!

How do i hook up logitech speakers #z313 to my desktop i need a diagram

Phone jack on woofer goes into computer tower (should be color coded green) and power cable on woofer plugs into 120VAC. Speaker phone jack plugs into back of woofer. The speaker cable has an on-off switch and volume control as well as a phone jack for your headset.

I have an all in one computer...my speakers did come with a sound card..the question is...what do i connect to the pc?

all in one systems generally have consideration for using external speakers. At a minimum they will normally have a Green Stereo output jack, many higher end ones will have three jack (Black and Yellow plus the Green)
Connecting speakers to the Jack should automatically disable the on-board speakers

Hello, my X-230 doesnt work, the power is on, the green LED light is on , but no sound, left the speaker with volume control died a few months ago, but now the other speaker and sub doesnt work too, any...

I suspect that the jack on the computer may have failed or the end of the cable that you jack in has failed. The green light indicates that power is getting to the speakers but not the sound signal. You can try repairing the cable jack prong by splicing another similar jack prong from Radio Shack, but the jack face on the mother board is a more difficult job. If you had another set of speakers you could try jacking them in to see if they operate, thus eliminating the mother board jack.

Speaker hook up

Shari,

It is my hope that I can help. This applies to the type of sound card on your PC.

- If you have a 2-channel sound card: Select 2 on the source selector switch on the subwoofer. Connect the green plug from the audio input cable to tyhe front jack on your PC sound card. With this input setting, your speakers will upmix the 4-channel signal and create a center signal for your speakers.

- If you have a 4-channel sound card: Select '4' on the source selector switch on the subwoofer. Connect the colored jacks on the audio input cable to the jacks on your PC sound card, making sure to match the colors.

- If you have a '6'-channel sound card: Select '5-1' on the source selector switch on the subwoofer. Connect the colored jacks on the audio input cable to the jacks on your PC sound card, making sure to match the colors.

Your sound card is located on the back of your PC Tower.

Good luck
