Flash disc ( stick ) will not work

Flash disc will not work in any usb port. The usb ports work on all other equipment. The light will not come on and nothing comes up on the computer. The information is not critical but I need it if I can get it or I will have to start over.  I have even tried the stick in the usb ports at work and nothing.

If you tell me there is nothing I can do, I can go with that information but I need  to know do I have to back up all of my flash disc like the floppy disc needed to be backed up

Thank you for your help

I bought a new lexar jumpdrive and I cant get it to download on my p.c.

It works on everonyes but mine. How can i get this fixed if at all?

I'm using my Lexar FireFly and my laptop won't recognize it. This has never happened before now, and I've used it several times on this computer. I tried to use it on another computer, but it isn't recognized there, either. I really need the stuff on there, and I swear I will never put anything else on my JumpDrive without saving somewhere else anymore. Is there any way to get it recognized?

Have you tried it on a different computer? If you have and it still does not work it would be safe to say it is bad.

And yes you should always back up. I have external USB Hard Drives that keeps a copy of all of my "stuff"

The usb ports on my acer 5250-0650 do not work when a memory stick is installed.

Have the ports ever worked? Have you opened the computer icon to see if the flash drive is being detected- but maybe not auto-starting? Also, if a drive is inserted (Windows system), you ought to see the "safely remove hardware" icon appear on your taskbar, near the clock. Clicking on the icon ought to show you the drive by name & drive letter.

Lastly, right-click Computer>properties>device manager>expand disk drives>if your flash drive is shown here, highlight it & uninstall the device. Remove the flash drive, then reinsert it. Windows will reinstall the driver & this may allow it to recognize the drive again.

Let me know?

Cheers

MY LC60LE745U BIG SCREEN WONT RECOGNIZE MY FLASH STIK

I believe your TV has 2 USB ports on it. If you have equipment connected to the other USB port, that port will get priority and the TV will ignore your flash stick. Turn off your tv, disconnect everything on your USB ports then insert the flash stick. Power on the TV and hopefully you can see the flash stick.

Usb not detecting

What are you sticking in the usb port?

Verify that the usb port works by sticking something else in it such as a small usb flash drive.

Try a different usb port.

Maybe you are trying to stick an external drive that is too large for the system to recognize.

Maybe the device you are sticking in the usb port does not work.

The flash drive no longer operates on the computer, though the light flashes.

Sometimes when a flashmemory stick or USB external hard drive fails because it was not removed fromthe USB port properly. If the device is removed byjust pulling it out of the USB port, it can cause the flash device to fail, youmust click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the Task Bar and select thedevice you wish to remove and only do so when instructed to do so When the flash memoryUSB hard drive device appears to malfunction it maybe possible to restoreit by reformatting it. Insert the flash or USB hard drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - AdministrativeTools - Computer Management - Disk Management.Thenright click on Disk 1 removable drive and click Format. After the flash drivehas been formatted it will indicate that it is Healthy.

When i plug my 4g cruzer micro usb memory stick nothing happens the cpmuter dosnt read that it is plugged in

Try a different USB device on each of the USB ports on your computer.
Hopefully, all your USB ports are working correctly.

Try a different USB port on your computer.
Hopefully, the SanDisk will be detected on one of the ports.

Try a USB port on a different computer.
If the SanDisk still is not detected, then spend $10 to buy a new 4GB flash-drive.
