Hotpiont fdw65 dishwasher fault lights

Hi there I hope some can help my dishwasher started to leak so i took the base off to have a look found out it was the waste pipe, It had a pin hole in it but it had been spraying straight into the heater element, I replaced the pipe dryed it all out, but all I got was the noise that the washer was working but no water is coming up into the washer plus eco and prewashes lights staying on, ive cleaned filters had a local shop test the pump and heater he says he thinks they are ok but im still getting this problem can anyone please help Thanks Ian

Hi Ian, I had exactly the same problem on my 15 month old FWD60 ie the pin hole in the waste pipe which sprayed water onto the heater. After replacing the pipe the machine 'clicks' a few times when I press the power button and if I start the program some water flows into dishwasher, it then stops with the 'fast 40' and 'delicate 50' lights flashing. I noticed the float sensor on the base cover which checked out ok. I also checked the heater which showed open circuit on my resistance meter, so its either blown or a very strange type of heater. Not impressed with the overall design as many electrical connections are exposed and liable water contact should any leaks occur. Horrible feeling that this may have damaged the control circuits on my machine in which case the machine is probably a write off in financial terms. Hope I'm wrong. Will continue to attempt repair when I get more time. Best of luck with your machine.

Same problem, I purchased the FDW65 two years ago. Subsequently this week it court fire. After inspection, a leak from the drainage pipe small pin hole caused water to spill on to the main pump motor. I was shocked and would not be looking to buy from Hotpoint in the future. Increasingly and also with my washer from Hotpoint I have had more problems due to poor quality of parts than any other company I have purchased from in the past.

On the base of the dishwasher you have a anti fload switch, this has probably got stuck on or has been jammed when replacing the base of the dishwaser, I would take a look at this first.

On hotpiont model#hda3500n10bb. it developa water leak and flooded my kitchen floor. I've stopped the floding. However how do I stop the alarm .

In the base of the dishwasher is a float or a sensor
So all the water has to be removed and dried out before the alarm will stop.

How to reset the flood switch on a fisher & paykel

Hi - unfortunately my good friend it cannot be reset as one would like quite easily anyhow... water has found its way to the base of the drwaers and have activated the flooding switch - one could pull it apart to dry it - tip the water out from the base but if the leaks not repaired you will have the same problem later and will be on-going.

Adg 3962 IX showing fault code f2 with flashing

The machine has a switch inside that activates when a set amount of water is loaded.
If this switch then breaks (switches off) during the wash the machine assumes that the water has leaked out.
Run it through a couple of washes, check for a leak and see how it goes.
Hopefully it will be fine.
F2 indicates a flooded base.

Press and hold the start button until the start light goes out. (This resets the appliance)
Select a new programme and try the machine again.

If it comes up with a fault F2, take the panel off below the door and check for water in the base.
Be careful when you take the panel off, the exposed edges are razor sharp.
Drain any water in the base, reset and try the machine again and watch for a leak through the inspection panel.

Bosch SHU9915UC Dishwasher - wash cycle won't happen

hi there your dishwasher has gone into flood protection mode ie. water has leaked into the base and activated the float switch.

to try and locate the leak tip your d/w back to drain the water from the base then remove both side panels and start a program to see if you can see where the water is leaking from, being careful not to touch anything while the d/w is running as live parts are exposed

hope this is of some help
