I bought an Apple TV and plugged it into HDMI2 I can not change input from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 on my input screen. it stays grey

If the tv does all those symptoms but after some seconds the tv works and stays doing the job. THen the tv has a slow microprocessor to recognice the different resolutions or video inputs.

But if the tv cannot do anything and stay aout of signal forever. send the tv to the waranty. (no waranty? you have to use the component input instead to have digital signal reproduced

SOURCE: Insignia 37 inch lcd inputs not working except for hdmi inputs

TV when hooked to Direct TV by HDMI will not work, it must be hooked by RCA cables. I now have 1080i rather than 1080P. The HDMI cable and the direct TV box has been changed. What can the problem be?

Use a HDMI cable and plug into the TV.
Note where you plugged it into the TV and read what it says. Should say HDMI1 or HDMI2...etc
Use your remote for the TV to change the "Input" value to that port.

Is HDMI4 correct or HDMI1?
depends on what you plug into on back of tv
is it a dvd player with a hdmi cable ?
or is it a tv antenna cable ?
or is it AV cable ?
The input select on the tv menu must be the same as the port you plugged the cable into

DTV = Digital Tv
AV1 = Av input 1 the yellow plug type cable red and white audio plugs
HDMI1 = HDMI1 port
HDMI2 = HDMI2 port
HDMI3 = HDMI3 port
HDMI4 = HDMI4 port

component in looks very similar to av in so if using av cables
use av1 in port rather than component in .

The light just blink green it doesn't let me do anything but blink green.
If you plug the Roku into the back of the TV in an HDMI port, you need to hit the Input button on the TV to change (probably) from HDMI1 to HDMI2. Once you are on HDMI2, you should see the Roku emblem. Then you need to set up the Roku to see your wireless signal.

if oyur LG tv has multiple HDMI ports, then you might need to choose the correct HDMI port from the 'INPUT' menu. Does the HDMI port on TV (sidepanel / back) has a sticker which denotes the number? if yes, then on tv remote, choose INPUT /SOURCE menu, it will show TV, Component, RGB, HDMI1 , HDMI2, HDM3, etc (depending your tv model, these options might vary) and choose the port number which you plugged the HDMI into. if you do not have a number on the port, then you might need to select each HDMI from "INPUT' menu and wait for a couple of seconds.

How do I get my RCA streaming media player to play on my Phillips 36" t.v using HDMI cable? I have new HDMI cable but nothing comes on the t.v
did you change the input source on the TV. What HDMI input did you plug into HDMI1 HDMI2 HDMI3 ? The input source has to match the port you put the hdmi cable into on the TV.
If no HDMI output on your media player use an adapter RCA to HDMI adapter. Here is an example of such a device

Usually, you have to use one of the function keys at the top of the keyboard to transfer the monitor signal from the normal output to the HDMI. It will depend on the model of computer. You might try holding down your function (FN) key and depressing F5. That's usually it. But it could be F9 on some models. You should see a design on the function key that looks like a monitor. See if that does it.

Audio on HDMI(2) output with external audiocord?
The audio from the hdmi out on your computer is turned off. Try connecting another device such as a dvd player to the hdmi input on your tv . If audio works on tv then you know no audio is not available from the hdmi output on you computer.
