Have a whirlpool gold Quiet Partner IV and when turned on today, they water fills as it should when turn on cycle and then once water is filled to where should be, you hear the relay make clicking noise. Normally, that is when we hear the water begin to move around and begin washing them. However, now, it makes that click sound and then just makes humming noise and no water is moving. I have tried to cancel and the water comes out as it should draining. I tried to restart and did the same thing agian...I let it go for a bit longer this time and could smell a burning smell, so pushed cancel again. Any suggestions of what to do or look at???? Pump should be checked for restriction of movement,is there something blocking it?does the capacitor smell?if it does its blown(or meter check-more accurate),hope this helps
SOURCE: No water running through cycle once filled....making humming noise once clicks into cycle
Both problems sound like motor has failed or is failing.
