You can connect via a coax cable from the sat. box to VHF input of your TV and tune on ch 3 or 4 or connect via a RGB cable to component input of your TV or a regular Audio/Video composite cable will connect sat. receiver to your TV use yellow color for video and red&white for stereo Audio then choos the connected input on the menue and watch sat.

Cannot get a signal on my phillips t.v. iput and antenna n zenith digital converter box n say`s no signal

Hi. Convertor boxes have a preset channel output. This is either in the VHF region (channel 4) or somewhere in the UHF region (like most video's on channel 36 or 38). Switch on the convertor, and try a scan on your TV. You must be able to locate the output channel from the convertor. At least if this one is ok, or receiving.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CHANGE MY TV TO CABLE OPTION RATHER THAN UHF OR VHF

Well let me ask some questions!
1) UHF and VHF are types of off air antenna source signals.
2) Cable TV has both the Analog 'UHF and VHF' signals on them along with the new Digital TV signal sources.
A) Is you TV have a Digital Tuner built into it or are you using a CABLE TV box to hook up to your TV?
Blessings always,

OTA stands for "over the air"and for a std TV it is searching for VHF/UHF signals as beamed from satellite. If the antennae is properly mounted and connection don't have any sulpher deposits, then the tuner has to be replaced. As far as the antennae, the basiscs are:
Based on this information, you need an antenna that receives high vhf and uhf. KVIE (ch 9, PBS) and KXTV (ch 10, ABC) are high vhf and not receivable with the CM 4220. I would recommend the Winegard 7694 or HBU-22 antennas. The Winegard has higher gain and is a 5 inches shorter than the HBU-22. Shorter boom length and higher gain will come in handy with an attic install. However, 7694 is more expensive ($60 vs ~$40).........................................sodeep

Has anyone figured out IF such a digital anntenna exist yet?

You don't need a digital antenna; any indoor UHF/VHF antenna will work. The antenna and the TV both connect to the converter box, not to each other.

A standard rabbit ears (UHF/VHF) antenna with flat wire (300 ohm) connections can be hooked up to the coaxial cable that goes to the Antenna (RF in) jack on the converter box by using a balun (Radio Shack catalog # 15-1297, about $8). If you have an antenna with coaxial cable already attached, you don't need the balun.

To connect the TV to the converter box, you need an adapter that has an F jack on one end and a 1/8" plug on the other (Radio Shack catalog # 278-257, about $5). The 1/8" plug on the adapter goes in the external antenna jack on the TV, and the other end connects to the coaxial cable that goes to the TV (RF out) jack on the converter box.

Local channel went digital, lost signal.

You need a digital to analog convertor box to recieve the digital signal.

All UHF+VHF signals will be digital starting in June.

Thanks for using FixYa - a FixYa rating is appreciated.

I have a Westinghouse 26 inch TV. Model # SK-26H590D. It will not scan channel 9. I have tried both the automatic scan and the find channel scan. It is hooked to a Phillips Mant 510 vhf/uhf indoor antenna...

I carried my Westinghouse TV to the basement. Unplugged the antenna from the digital converter box and connected it to my digital TV. I then re-scanned for channels and found channel 9. After carrying the Westinghouse TV back upstairs, I connected the original set-up and tuned to channel 9 which was now showing on the screen as no signal. From that point I moved my VHF dipoles until I had located the correct position for reception. A little labor intensive, but I was fortunate to have another antenna that was receiving channel 9.

I have an rca antenna model ant110. & i don't get where/how to connect the uhf part [round metal piece] the picture on line is not clear & we do not have the box it came in. thank you

You will need a Vhf/uhf combiner to attach to the antenna to new TV's. Check with your local TV repair shop, they should be readily available.
