If you want to delete everything, a reformat and re-install is the best way to go
If you just want to get rid of unwanted programmes thoroughly, try this freeware uninstaller:
http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.htmlIf you want to get rid of browsing history, cookies and other internet garbage, you can do this by clicking on the hard drive icon in My computer (right click) Tools and disc clean up and then Right click / tools and defragment. These should help speed up the laptop as it gives windows more access to its swap file.
As to the internet problem, check the wireless card is working, download up to date drivers, if the card is not working or has failed, obtain a USB network dongle and use that to connect with. Check also your wireless security settings
