Printer won't accept cartridge

try selecting higher print quality setting. If it still prints faded on "standard" or "high" quality, try running the "printhead clean" or "deep clean" utility (under "maintenance" in printer properties).
If still no good, refill or replace cartridge(s).

not all print cartridges are compatible with any printer. You must make sure that BOTH cartridges you bought are compatible with the printer.

I would take it back to the dealer and get an exchange. Sometimes the quality on refilled cartridges is not as good as it should be. I've had similar problems and had to changed to ordering refills online at LD Products without any more problems.

I go to Canons website and you may have to down load an updated device driver for that model or on there website you can search there data base for problems and fixes.

I think Canon needs to here a some of these problem, I have own about three canon printers and love them, but Canon is destroying the printer. People buy a printers to use not be work on, I have bought my last Canon Printer.
