No steam coming out

White rubber tube that sits in water resevouir so that as the water level decreases with use the water can still filter through the machine, has come loose. When I emptied the remaining water in the unit it fell out. It has a grey ball on the end with an opening in the ball to let water go through the rubber tube. How do I put this rubber tube back on?

SOURCE: my gold shark pro mop (costco) steams inside the

Hi escada48036,

Sorry to hear about the problems your having with your Shark. One of our experts, heatman101 wrote a tip we have in our files. Here is the webpage for the tip: http://www.fixya.com/support/r5859780-euro_pro_shark_steam_mop_problem

Copy and paste this into your browser and the page will open up for you.

In the tip he describes pulling off the attachment and finding a small hole that comes out of the tank and leads to the hose. From your description, this sounds like what is plugged up. I think once you clear that, steam should flow through fine.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Handie Andie

Why won't my bissell steampower spray water anymore?

Steam Irons and carpet machines should be filled only with distilled water. Repeated use of tap water can lead to mineral build up, clogging the tubes and vents. Using white vinegar instead of water can dissolve the minerals over time (fill and let sit) the best method is to disassemble the unit and clean the heating elements and all water baring parts.

I followed the trouble shooting advice for a Hoover steam vac that has non-spinning brushes. Turbine ordered and replaced. Female receptacle still is not spinning. What now?

There could be several reasons for this. Remember that the brushes will not turn unless the dirty water tank is in place. Also the handle must be released and tipped back. It is also possible that the rubber seal that the lower tank sits on is missing. If you look down into the motor area, there should be a large, round rubber seal that the lower tank sits on. Look for the round tube that protrudes from the bottom of the dirty water tank. This tube sits against the seal. If it is missing it will need replacement.

My hoover steam vac is dispensing water just fine, but is not picking up any water, i have secured the return compartment lid and made sure that the filter isnt too high, still not working

Another reason for no pick up is that the duct on the front of the dirty water tank is missing. The duct may have been removed to install the hose, and was not put back in place. It is a square plastic piece, about the size of a slice of sandwich bread, which slides into the front of the tank. A far less common reason for no pick-up is that the seal that the tank sits on has fallen off the motor cover suction tube. You will see a round tube on the bottom of the dirty water tank. This sits on top of a large rubber seal on the motor cover when the tank is in place. Be sure the seal has not fallen down into the hood.

How do i clean my iron so brown dirt won't come out of it when i iron

Hi,

Brown water and white scale are often the result of the water you use in the iron...

If you have scale, white vinegar will clean that...

For brown water, empty the iron, rinse out the insides with bottled water,

and then use the bottled water instead...

I have the Oreck Sanapathic DMS2000 Handheld Steam Vacuum, but no steam comes out when I push the button. I hear the motor, is there any buttons I am missing or any help on how to make it work, been...

ORECK DMS2000 No Steam
First, tested tank and filter flow together using suction via
plastic tubing. Worked freely Second, removed pump
and disconnected hoses and terminals [watch location,
three terminals on pump, two plugs]. Pump has a slug inside
and I could blow water either way. Sucked white vinegar
both ways until check action returned. Use distilled water
in future!

My hoover steam cleaner will not pick up the water the machine pu

Two checks:
(1) Is the lid aligned and sealed to the recovery tank
(2) Is the round rubber gasket installed on the tubular post under the hood, where the tank seals to the base? The tube extending down from the tank must sit on the rubber seal to get vacuum from the motor.

I can't get my shark steam blaster model EP95 to create steam?

pull the (3) coasters/feet out and unscrew the 3 screws. take off the one end of the steam"boiler" (two clamps). tilt open end up and pour white vinegar [carefully] in there, prop up so it does not fall over, and soak overnight. dump out lime and water scale and rinse out a couple of times. Be very careful to not get water on electrical parts.
Take an air pig and blow out the line (Black) from where you disattached it to where the steam comes out [at the handle]. Be sure to mark electrical connections [4 on one, 2 on the other] so you don't blow a breaker switch like I did.

Have a hoover steam cleaner F5837-900 model

First off, check the dirty water tank, check the round filter on the bottom of the lid to make sure there is a gap and pushed all of the way up, then make sure that the lid is locked onto the tank. Check the bottom of the tank, push in the plunge to make sure water comes out freely. There is a round seal where the water tank sits, make sure it is ok. There is a diapham that the tank sits on could be bad, or the tube running down the inside of the handle is crimped. Could have a bad pump. but they don't go bad very often.
