For security reasons, some laptops do not show passwords when you type them on the password page. For your own case however, I would suggest that you should just try and reset the Laptop Password to its default settings by removing the CMOS battery. This means you might have to unscrew your laptop at the back, and try to locate the CMOS battery, remove it from a few seconds and replace it. This method will automatically reset your password to its factory settings. If you cant unscrew your laptop by yourself, you can easily get a technician to do it for you. Hope it helps you out.
