Hey, My wireless connection keeps automatically turning itself off after just a few seconds. I go back to the manage connection menu, and check the box that says Mobile network. the little button then turns green indicating i am connected. i exit out of there and attempt to make a call or check an email and the signal then disappears. i go back to the connection menu and it says that the wireless connection is turned off even though i just turned it on. this has become very frustrating. i have never had this problem before and can't understand what precipitated it. Any ideas on what to do? thanks so much The same situation has occured with my Blackberry pearl. After looking at the manage connections menu and turning on my mobile network, after a few seconds, the antenna shuts of again and my connection is lost. I cant send or recieve emails without quickly switching back to the manage connections screen. My only last 16 seconds. I have checked nearly all the websites and this seems to be a very popular problem for the blackberry pearl. But no one has listed any solutions to this malfunction.
I had this problem a few times, but only when I let the battery drop so low that the connection turned itself off to save what little life the battery had. Once that happens I just had to wait for the battery to charge back up so the connection could reestablish itself. If this is the case, just plug it in and give it time.

I have the identical problem that Jessica posted above on May 26/09. I haved talked to RIM support and they cannot offer any solution nor can my service provider. It is NOT a battery issue, nor software ... appears to be faulty hardware but cannot find any solution. I'm guessing it could be an internal antenna. Need help please!
