the hinges are bad and need to be replace
go to sears.com and click on the parts link
there enter the complete model number or call them if you want 1-800-252-1698
check to see if hinges are still available

The McCall web site has nothing easily found on the 7-7045FT unit.
In answer to you questions, first, what is the expansion device. TXV, Cap Tube, or something else?
Low site pressure will be dictated by the super heat. The high side, in many cases, is usually ambient plus 30, then convert to psi.

Take all your things out of the freezer and pull the racks out. there should be a way to remove the back panel inside. Behind the panel is a bunch of coils. If they are covered in ice you have a problem. At the bottom is usually a single element or double element heater. Replace that and you should be good to go. They are about 30-40 dollars at your appliance store. They will need your model number to get the right one. Let me know if that works.

have ready a correct make and model number and call 1st source at 1-800-392=3939. if u can't get it there, who knows. plz rate me.

call e-mail the manufacture if you can get the oem parts for the cap tube size I'd need the horse power of the compressor.

May I ask you how old these two Westinghouse Freezers are?
And their model #'s?

The alarm light intermittently, could mean the temperature fluctuates due to an ongoing problem that is starting to take place.

Or that that sensor or or light is malfunctioning and all is really well.
You need to put a refrigerator thermometer in and check the temperatures before you decide what you have to do with them! I think it's just the faulty light and probably all is well.

How old is your Freezer ?
Make and Model
This can be anyone of a host of problems,
1. Thermostat bad
2.Freon coolant low
3. Coolant leak.
4.Are the coils on the bottom of the freezer behind the grille or in the rear of the box?
These are the narrow black tubes that run parallel to each other, back and forth.
They carry the coolant to and from the compressor!
If they are under the freezer, then they may be covered with years of dust and lint and in need of a refrigerator brush down there to gently clean the stuff out!
Air needs to pass over them as the fan sucks it in through the front grille to cool them off.
The brush is $8-$10 at the hard ware store.
