you only have to setup the TP link on your computer then turn on your hotspot on your phone (remember the password) then go back to your computer down by the clock right hand side bottom you will see a wireless symbol a series of curved lines click on those locate your phone click on that & put in the password
ok , need to assign your computer a Static IP address within the same
range as the AP's IP address, ip address of AP is : 192.168.1.254
the ip address for pc such: 192.168.1.253, then open your browser and write the ip address of your AP then you will be inside it .

router but the same principle could be applied to you with the correct
firmware. Its worked for me on more than a few occasions. Providing you
can ping the router via a lan cable then the chances of recovering it
are very high.
try power cycle by removing the power of the router for one minute then plug it again.
check the cable if all of it tightly connected to the specified port
if it is a modem router it should have a 3 cable connected to it
Phone line, Ethernet cable and the power adapter.
the Ethernet cable should be connect to the back of your tower( computer).
check you phone for a dial tone.
check the light in the router like dsl , ethernet ,internet and activity.
all of these must have a light.
