My hetty hoover cuts out when I pull it along then comes back on 'l

It works completely fine but when I pull more cable out or pull the hose to move it further around the room, it goes off. Then comes back on 'low' when I stop pulling it. I then have to push the button to get high power again. I don't know why it does it.ive always had a Henry but fancied a change to a hetty. Is this meant to happen or shall I return it as faulty? It's only a month old.

SOURCE: my hoover smells of ammonia

Hello,
I too have a problem with a bad smell coming from my henry hound hoover, but thats probely because i haven't used a hoover bag. I took the cloth filter out, banged all the dust off, then sprayed it with 'RugDoctor' pet stain remover for carpets and upholstery. It still smells a bit, but not half as bad as befor. I have now ordered a reusable, zipable, washable cloth hoover bag especially made for Henry's. It cost £8.80 from ebay with free postage. Hope this helps Nikki.

SOURCE: My Old Henry hoover is making a VERY loud noise

Most likely the motor bearings have worn out. You can fit a new motor quite easily, but if you need to pay someone else to do it for you the labour plus motor cost will probably make the job uneconomical. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Throw away your old filter if it is not cleanable. Only clean it if it is a washable filter. If not, buy a new one

My Hoover Steamvac Widepath will NOT pickup the water after dispensing. I checked the hose inside the cleaner, there was a cut in the hose so I put electrical tape and completely sealed the cut. Still...

Hi, empty the recovery tank of the Hoover SteamVac if the cleaner fails to pick up dirt. Once the tank is full, many Hoover models have an automatic shutoff that stops the cleaner. If the does not resolve the pickup issue, check the hose of the machine and remove any blockage.

Examine the water tank if water does not dispense from the SteamVac. It could be empty and need of a refill, or you may not have locked the dispenser firmly in place. The detergent tank should also be looked at and filled if empty.

Take care

Machine keeps cutting out intermittenly

My Sebo Air Belt C2 Total. The automatic electric cable wire won't stay out when pulled, it just springs back. When I'm hoovering I have to wrap the wire around the small wheels so that it doesn't shoot back in the machine.

Hoover windtinnel suction problem

the intake hos at the bottom might be clogged.first take all the filters out and disconnect the hos completely from the vacuum, then check and see if you have suction.the intake hose is the clear looking one at the bottom that wrapps itself up from the base to the backside of the upright.you can use a coat hanger to push out the clog if there is one just bend the tip till its rounded.work it down into the intake hose from the back.after removing the hose and the filters you should have suction.just make sure all the filters get cleaned .you can blow out the hose with a garden hose

Where is schematics online to replace lower hose assembly part

There is no schematic that I am aware of. I can tell you that from experience that this repair is very difficult. Basicaly the upper and lower handle unscrew along with the tank base, the hood comes off. the lower handle will split but not comes completely apart to remove the hose section. When reassembling, be sure to put the back hose gasket in the correct position. Look at it (take a picture) prior to repair first.

Know cut off switch, its just not getting power ? 2 things its ether at the wall plug or in side the unit. I have never found a fuse in side them , so it may be just a lose wire did you try other plugs in the house . good luck DFD

Most likely will have to replace either the nozzle valve or the hose comes complete, so if the nozzle pieces are available, then replace the complete hose asm.
