I need to block the VGA port on my laptop , if i connect a external monitor the display should be blocked on the external monitor.
In most cases, you can switch between display modes by using the function keys. the keys from F1 to F12 on your keyboard should contain various symbols (sometimes in blue). one of those symbols looks like the front of a monitor (on some laptops it says "LCD/CRT"). look for the key with the monitor symbol (or the text "LCD/CRT"), press and hold the Fn-key on the bottom line of your keyboard and then press the display mode function key. then you will see if the image on your display switch from one screen to the other.
if you cannot find such a key, you can disable the external display by right-clicking your desktop and choosing properties from the drop-down menu. on the "settings"-tab you should be able to see two virtual displays. click on display 2 and then uncheck the box that says "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor".
Idf I have an external monitor, mouse and keyboard connected to a laptop, how can I work with the laptop close.
