I have the 9.6 stick type batteries and they don't hold a charge but for a few minuets. What can i do to bring them back to life? Thanks Walt
Hey Walt, some people have tried putting their rechargeable batteries in the freezer to try and extend the life of the batteries. I've only heard that this solution has had limited results (may or may not work). The biggest problem with rechargeable batteries is that they have a life cycle, (can only be recharged, depending on the battery, a few hundred times to maybe several hundred times, and then they will no longer hold a charge). Try contacting Makita and inquire about getting new batteries. They may still carry them. Otherwise, it maybe time to invest in a new drill. Sorry that that I can't offer a better solution but people have tried just about everything they can think of to increase the life of their batteries and have not succeeded.
