Phone answers by itself

Depends on many different factors. If the phone itself has an answering system, then check on the user guide (search on line for the make and model number user guide). If your phone service provides a network based answering service, check with them about how to manage the number of rings before it answers.

Take the backup for your phone and then just simply reset it to the default factory settings. you can do this by going through the settings of your mobile phone handset. Your problem might be solved for free..!!!

Auto answer means that your phone will answer itself after so many rings. Ultimately it goes to speaker phone and you can just start talking.

Please press number 11 key[ANSWER ON] to ON/OFF the answering machine.

There is a light near the button itself.If the light is ON then the answering machine is ON.If light is OFF indicates answering machine in off.

The modem itself will not answer a call. It will work in conjunction with a computer program to do so.

Try changing the profile, customize it and disable the any key answer.

Goto Settings-->Call Settings-->All Calls-->Answering mode.
and check the required options.

figure out how many times it takes for your phones answering machine to automatically turn on, then call your phone company and have them limit the number of times your phone rings. like say at 14 rings if it auto answers at 15 rings.

Your phone is on something called auto answer. Go to your menu, settings, call settings and select auto answer, and then turn it off.

Have you tried the answer key by itself? Usually feature and answer turns it back off.
