I need to reset the power to the powerhead. This particular model does not have an external reset button. The vaccum still turns on and has suction but, the power head is not getting power (i.e. lights do not turn on, roller brush does not roll automatically). I check the belt and it is fine.

I've never heard of a reset on a vacuum, for what reason would they have it, overheating of the motor? Or drawing too much current and it has an onboard circuit breaker? What is it doing exactly? What made you ask this question?

Have you unplugged it? Or is there a hard reset for it other than the reset button? Can you try to hold the power button down and see if that does anything? But try to pull the filter and stuff out again, after you have unplugged it, see if that works.

The reset button is power button,look at what it says under cell check button, hold(symbol) button t reset.

To RESET the Electronic Filter Check:
When the filter check light remains on,it is time to check/clean the HEPA-Type
filters and reset the filter check,if needed. With the unit powered on,insert the tip of a ball-point pen or
paperclip into the hole next to the LED filter check light and hold for approximately 5 seconds until the
light turns off (Fig 5). Depending upon your individual usage (environment and hours used),you may need
to check and clean the filters more or less frequently. If the HEPA-Type filters are cleaned before the filter
check light turns on,the filter check should be reset at the same time.
These cleaning intervals are intended as guidelines only. Performance of any filter media is dependent
upon the concentration of contaminates going through the system. High concentrations of contaminates
such as dust,pet dander and smoking will reduce the useful performance of the filter.
NOTE:The HEPA-Type filters are not washable.

It worked - the solution to press sleep and the power button simultaeneously worked! Air cleaner then reset to 99%. Thank you Harbourman!

You have to pull out both filters top and bottom at once. Then hold down the on/off button for 5 seconds.

I have a Bionaire tower air filter model BAP1700 that I bought from Costco. The filter check LED came on recently after 5 months of use. After cleaning the Permatech filters, I tried every remedy on this website including following the instructions that say push power button for 2 secs. Nothing worked. Then I noticed a tiny hole on the control panel in front of clean filter LED; I pushed a paper clip pin into that hole, felt a click, held it down and 2 secs later, LED went out. Success!

I owned the previous model of the same unit with the hole for the paperclip. But it wore out and I replaced it with the HAP422 and found the same issue; no hole to "reset" the light. I was just fooling with it and determined that "some" switch would reset it and finally held the power on button on for a few seconds, after which, the red light flashed and then went out. Problem solved. BUT THERE IS NOT ONE WORD IN THE MANUAL TO TELL YOU THIS! WHY NOT?
