That is a thermostat. it should have continuity at room temp, and open at popcorn popping temps. There are no replacement parts for this manufacturer.

Error code say heating element what dose it mean

Basically what it says there is a heater inside the outer drum which heats the water for washing. It normally has a Klixon type thermostat on the drum or a rod stat inside. Either could be faulty or there could be just be a loose or broken connecting wire.

Remember DISCONNECT from power before looking.

Why won't my whirlpool electric dryter #ler4634dqo generate heat?

if you have a old house that has fuses sometimes only half of the fuse will blow making it look like the dryer is working but it wont turn on the heat element take the shielding off the heating element and start the dryer and see if they wires glow red hot when running and also after running the machine does the inside feel warm or cold if it is warm check the duct work on the dryer all the way out to the exit and see if lint is clogging it up

WD1000 Cnn anyone tell me the color of the wires location on the thermostat, the small thermostat next to the large one anf the round preheat unit near by. THANKS

If I understand your question correctly . . .
Here are the wire colors connecting to the heater enclosure:
From the front, on the right side of the heater assembly (wrapped in shiny foil): First, the "working thermostat" (which cycles heat on and off to maintain 155 deg) - red on bottom, gray on top. That gray wire goes over to the right, connecting to either side of little round "overtemp - klixon" sensor, at a double connector (two gray wires). A brown wire goes to other side of klixon sensor.
At rear of heater assy is another klixon sensor and the ends of the heating element itself From L to R: Short black "jumper" wire goes from left connector (Klixon) over to far right connector (on heating element). Long black wire goes 2nd to L, and long red wire goes 2nd to R (again on heater).

I have an old whirlpool electric range model number WGE33300, not self cleaning oven for many years. The four top electric burners are fine, but today both oven heating elements will not operate and the...

I was looking at your wiring diagram. A red wire goes to a limit and then enters into a terminal box and feeds L-2 power to both element. I would be looking real close at that limit. It has a orange wire on one side and a red wire o the other terminal and most of these here limits look a lot like this one.
I am gonna try and link ya to the diagram but I doubt WP will allow it. Mighty funny both ements in the oven have took a dump. I suspect that limit. Next I will try and find a part number for that limit and maybe we can see that puppy. Hang on. Looks like it could be NUMBER 8
now let see how much that puppy costs and hopefully what she looks like. Hang on. $40 bucks
Dang that seems to me like a lot. Notice they don't post a pic either. Know why? Because they know yall can get generic ones by looking at the stamped metal temp numbers on the part. A klixon is a klixon. This ques is makin me curious to bust open my parts catalog and see what come up with.

You high limit is mounted on the heating element. Very simple machine to service. Pop the bottom panel off therethemobilian_1156.jpgThe red klixon is the 250f limit and the smaller klixon is the thermal fuse. It dies and she won't run at all. Of course it could be the door switch also. themobilian_1157.jpg

Electric dryer will not heat up is there a reset button

Their is no reset button. On the back side of the basic dryer they have the filter and blower housing with temp control klixon and fuse and on the right hand side is the heater with a pair of limits on it which trip if the temp exceeds safe levels due to air restriction. themobilian_565.jpgthemobilian_566.jpgthemobilian_567.jpg

Milwaukee 8977 - 20 Variable Temperature Heat Gun blows air but no heat. how do you troubleshoot the circuit board or the heating element?

With out the thing plugged in with an OHM meter the heting element can be checked with the nose removed. Most of the time once the nose is removed the problem is easy to see the end is burnt off the element connection. Remake the connection reinstall the nose and test. The heating element runns right off the switch and the connection there is easy to see with the handle opened. This is simple unit and wires burnt off from being too hot is almost always the problem. look it over carfully and the problem will be seen.

Electric dryer not heating...works fine, but no heat

Hello Friend, Your problem is very simple to fix. You need a thermal fuse and or heater element, both very simple and affordable to replace. Try replacing the thermal fuse first to see if that's the problem. To replace the thermal fuse just remove back cover of dryer and look down where the air blows out. Now, just to the left where all the wires are you will see a white plastic part with two wires plugged into it. This part is called a thermal fuse. Just remove these wires and replace the thermal fuse. If this don't solve your problem you will need to replace the heater element. To replace the heater element, with the back cover off of your dryer just look down and to the right of were the air blows out. You will see the electric heating unit with two fat red wires plugged into it. Unplug these wires and you will see on the sheetmetal housing two screws that hold it on, one on each side. On older elctric dryers there is only one screw that holds element in place, it is on the bottom center of element screwed in from behind. Remove screw(s) and remove old heater element. Now, lay the new element next to the old one and take notice that there is a heat sensor attached to the old element where one of the red wires unplugged from. Gently remove this sensor and install it onto the new element in the same location as the old one. If you have an older electric dryer, the old heater element doesn't have the heat sensor on it, just skip this step. Now, plug in your two red wires and re-install your heater element. Your dryer will run like new. Happy to help, Tim.

Not heating up

check the wiring to the heating element and ensure all the connections are tight and there are no burned wires. The heating element should be continious with no breaks.
ohms should peg the meter if everything is good.
